J frame IWB holster recommendation?
Hopefully by early this next week, I will be in possession of a very nice S&W 940 (2 inch barrel?). Looking for IWB holster recommendations. Leather or kydex on leather. Prefer double clip holsters. I’ve used Clinger Holsters in the past. I don’t think they make one to fit my revolver. Another one I’ve used and liked is Hidden Hybrid. Another possibility is Alien Gear holsters. Who else makes a decent double clip IWB holster that would fit the 940?

If you are looking for Kydex I have heard good things about Harry's Holsters. It looks like their model has two clips.
If one clip isn't a deal breaker check out Dark Star Gear. A guy I used to work with who is a pretty well know trainer in the revolver world swears by them.
I have a one clip model from Lobo Gun Leather. Leather of course but everyone swears by it. I personally have never used it and probably never will so if you want to check it out let me know and we can make it happen.

FWIW...Just my 2¢, take it with a gain of salt.
Two of my favs..
Bianchi Pocket Pistol. Most holster for the money.
Crossbreed Freedom, only has the one clip, but it works surprisingly well and stays in place.

Just what I like, one clip has a lot more adjustment, soft cloth type that sets low under my belt, most types sets up to high, I like my gun more secure under a good leather belt, I like to carry on the left or right front, I have tried several types, some are like wearing a brick, have one for a small auto, it works great for my small revolver, M637..

When I want to carry my 640-1 IWB, I use a DeSantis Sof Tuck. It has a reverse J-hook that is fully adjustable for cant and I can tuck my shirt over the revolver and holster for deep concealment.

I had gotten rid of my 640 no dash due to the scarcity and price of.38 Special ammo. Issues with arthritis and hand strength dictate that a revolver makes sense for me. A revolver chambered in 9mm makes PERFECT sense!

If you are looking only for Model 940 you may be limiting yourself unnecessarily. Look at other similar models, Models 640, 36, 60, 40, etc. These are all J Frame S&Ws that are very similar in most respects to the 940.

I won a Galco King Tuk on eBay. Looks nearly new, $54 shipped. New price is $124 plus shipping.

For me, a tuckable IWB with a thumb break would complicate matters in the heat of the moment. I'd prefer an adjustable tension screw to keep the gun where it belongs when not in use.

Here's a few old school IWB holsters.
2 Heiser holsters, the one on the left was made for a Chiefs Special.
S.D. Myres IWB holster.

A George Lawrence holster.

Regards,
