I just bought a 12039 Model 19 Carry Comp 3". Normally I buy Galco Combat Master leather holsters, and I like them very much. Unfortunately Galco does not make this holster for the 3" K-Frame Model 19. They make it for the 2.5" and the 4," but *not* the 3." I'd like a similar holster with a similar cant. Do I have to go custom?

You might try this one. It is a De Santis for a 3" barrel K-frame I ordered for my 65-5. Should work for the Model 19 equally well.

I carry mine in a Kramer horsehide Belt Scabbard. Excellent holster, with a good belt you don't even know the gun is there. Bit of a wait though, the last one I ordered took 5-6 months to get, but well worth the time. I also sent the cylinder to TK Customs and had it cut for moonclips. Awesome carry setup.

Bianchi has some 3" offerings for the K frames.

Aces, TJM. This DeSantis holster is nearly the same carry angle, and IS the same carry height, as the Galco. Both are first quality makers that are among the only 4 makers I ever recommend.
