Steven Seagal Lawman

looks like both he and kelly lebrock packed on some pounds after their divorce. maybe thay should get back together to get back to their good looking 1980s-early 90's fighting weights

he'd be on the list of "my celebrities to go shooting with"

I thought him a tool before I watched the show and think it even more after. Now I am going to the range to push the bullet out like the Zen Master. ......

Seagal doesn't "sound" like a real police officer with real experience on the street. The way he speaks gives me the distinct impression that his knowledge and experience are based solely on his time in the academy or other classroom settings.

That being said, I have to give him credit because he is actually out there trying to do something positive for the community.

I Googled the show and on the A&E site it gives a short BIO on Seagal and his team. They are all veteran cops, with the two bosses (Col & Capt) working public relations and community affairs. The 2 Sgts are also active street cops acccording to the their Bio's. It appears that they are all the Real Deal.

I respect but certainly dont worship segal. (Or anybody else). I respect all his hard training and work he has gone through to get where he is.
Now I am sure he could whup my ass, yet I will make this observation.
I watched after the main episode a lot of old film and background on his pr part of the show. While I am sure he is a master at his fighting style whatever it is called, to me it was like a perfectly cordnated dance and act with well practiced partners. You know a line of guys running in turn at you, one after another more like a well practiced square dance.
It would be more realistic had uncooperative, unpaid, untrained, not on his team guys to make him look good ran at him all the same time!
Many years ago wrestlers would travel the country with a tent at fairs and challange the crowd to wrestle people for a dollar a minute. I had a uncle that did that for years, also a old best friend that did it for awhile.
Now, I will assure you that when you put out a challange like that to a crowd of farmers etc, you better be better than good and tough!
I am not intending to put segal down, or take away from him as I know he must be a excellent fighter, but I do want to point out a reality check here to some of the gullable unknowing. But then what do I know? I am just a fat old man. However I wasnt born this way!

Saw him on the Sean Hannity show on Fox a week or more ago. He looked terrible. All puffy, almost no mouth because of the fat, his eyes
nearly gone in cheek fat. I wondered if he was suffering from some malady like Jerry Lewis contracted several years ago.

I was wondering the same thing, that looks like more then just weight gain.

I had hopes this show would be better than the Eric Estrada, Latoya Jackson reality police show awhile back, but it looks to be only marginally better. I could not make it through one episode.

I watched the episode talked about in the 1st. post. I thought Mr. Segal was a pompus, egotistical, overstuffed horses butt, before I watched. Now I'm sure.

Also I hope everyone gets the msg. about how dangerous it is for "civillians" to be walking around carrying firearms. They should probably keep them locked up till deer season.

I guess I didn't take it that way, to me it seemed as if he was refering to the thugs on the street with illegal guns, not a licensed legal civilian. Maybe I am wrong.

I was looking forward to watching that show BUT after the first one where they took a 270 bolt action rifle off of some criminal......and Steven was holding up a 270 round and talking about how this is a very powerful cop killer round......I quickly lost intrest......He is just another Gun hating hollywood loser like most of the actors.....I belive he in fact DOES like guns as long as only the cops have them.

I'm with you on that one.
Ted is my hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ehhhhh. What can I say. It's television and they're spending the least bucks for an acceptable profit return. It' crap tv, but that's where the bar has been set for A&E programming. Dog, Gotti, the Kiss band, etc. Geared for the teen and pre-pubescent consumer of now and the future.

Bummer really. I think B Bunny and Road Runner cartoons made more of a lasting contribution than this dogottiseagull crap will ever amount to.

I like seeing Seagal on tv now. Since his show has started I use him a personal reference. If I wake up and I'm less of a tool bag than he is, then I'm doing something right. (even though it's not hard to do)

I'd put my money on Chuck Norris over Me. Seagul any day.
