Man how time flies and as my 71st birthday is approaching I was reminded that my CCW was going to expire next month. I have had my Arizona CCW since 2007 and it has reciprocity in 38 states, not perfect but works for me.

Just had to download/print the renewal form off of the Arizona Department of Public Safety website, include a copy of my Arizona drivers license, a money order for $43 and mail it all to Phoenix. Should have the new one in about ten days. In the last 15 years of extensive travel {RV, camping and biking etc} I have had to reach for my pistol twice and discharge it once and it was nice to be able to do so legally.

So if my drivers license is accepted in every state why not my CCW permit? I know... dream on.

I renewed mine about a month ago for five more years.

I'll be 80 when the time comes to renew........if I live.

:D

My Texas CHL is not acceptable in all other states, just 38 of them at last count...I don't spend money nor time in the other states which don't trust me...As an aside, I just received my new driver's license in the mail, good until 2031...I renewed both this year, all online and they used my old pictures...No standing in line at the DMV, no eye test, no new fingerprints and my credit card magically worked on both online...Life is good...:D...Ben

My understanding of our new "Open Carry allowed with a CC Permit" law is that our CC Permits will renew for free.

We are a Constitutional Carry state. My permit is now one more thing I don't have to worry about forgetting.

I love that Ohio is now Constitutionally Compliant! But the wife and I already decided to continue to maintain our permits. We spend a lot of time in Ky., Pa, W.Va., & New Jersey. We have to disarm in N.J. but hope that their awareness of the Constitution will grow in enlightenment! Plus the ease of buying additional guns is worth the effort!

I wouldn't mind waiting for a 15 minute NICS check. That's about how long a bag of Milk Duds lasts.

How much do they charge? Here in NV it's at least $25, and on busy days you could eat a Big Mac and fries at a pace that avoided indigestion and still not be done.

Of course, that delay is nothing compared to when I bought guns as a Green Card holder. I could get lunch and browse another store at my leisure.
