I couldn't get my little POS point n' shoot to focus on the sight, but the floor is sharp:

It's actually brighter than that first picture makes it look like:

Started out with white nail polish, then topped it with bright orange.

Oh, and the better half did the brush work, she's got much more experience with it.

I've done several that way.

The enamel lasts for a longgg time.

Helps these old eyes, especially on the tiny J frame sights.

Put some clear coat nail polish on top of that to keep the dirt and powder residue from making it progressively blacker. With the clear coat
it will stay like new for a long time. The dirt will wipe off instead of getting ingrained in the paint.

Duh, I should have thought of that myself. The wife is a professional nail tech, and always covers the color with clear coat.

Thanks for the reminder.

;)

Looks good. I did the same to mine several years ago. The bright white first coat is the trick to the bright orange and they clear coat makes it last a long time. Only problem was my eyes got progressively worse and had to consider a red-dot. Tried the Burris Fast Fire. It works great.
