After lusting after a hat like Raylon Givens wears, I broke down and ordered one yesterday, it will take four to six weeks to get it. I know I wont look as good as he does but I have wanted one since I saw the series on FX. In case you want one too it will cost you 283.00 with shipping. Jeff

A gentleman should have a Stetson or two in his wardrobe. My favorite hat is an old Stetson Open Road. I paid somewhere south of $100 for mine. Oh how times of changed.

Oh, and I don't look as good as Raylon in my Stetson either.

I also like that hat, but the price keeps me from owning one. I only have about $20.00 more than that in this tray full of S&W's.

Hell, I've bought cars for less than $283!

My all-time favorite hat is a 25-year-old Pendleton for which I paid $25 back then. I can't kill it, and it just gets better with age.

Got a Stetson I bought in 1985 for a hundred dollars. Has never been cleaned are reblocked. Still looks like a million dollars. Even on me!

That Stetson is a great looking hat and the Justified program is habit forming. My daughter gave the me series on DVD. Just like reading a good book....hard to put it down. Highly recommend the series if someone has not seen it.

Wife bought me a nice yellow straw Stetson years ago. Kinda generic "cowboy" type hat. Got a nice rattlesnake band (with rattle, of course;)) for it & wore that thing everywhere for years. Thing was filthy dirty but still in great shape. Well "broken in" if you will. Wife went & got me some tight weave bright white straw thing... Haven't touched it. Just not the same. I think she might have thrown my old one out.

I have a few Stetsons and always see one more I would like to get I wear my open road and stratoliner the most

It depends on what you want to spend, you can buy the 4x version for $150, the 6x is $250, they also offer a 20x silver belly version for $500.

Hard to go wrong with a good quality Stetson.

A Stetson hat has a lot in common with a S&W revolver. It's just hard to imagine one that isn't very special. Some things are not about dollar value, per se. Somethings are about quality and class and beauty and understated elegance.

Because I'm on the short side of tall wide brim western hats don't look good on me but If I ever hit 5'9" I'll have me a closet full of Stetson hats. :p :D

By way of consolation I do have 2 pair of Justin Ropers I bought at the Justin outlet store in Justin, Texas between I-35E and I-35W between Dallas and Denton Texas.

I have two Stetsons, but only have a picture of one of them. THis one is a Marine officer's field (or campaign) hat. I really need to get another hat press. Not sure what happened to mine.

Two pieces of at least /2 inch plywood. You can mark the oval with needle tips then draw the circle and jigsaw out the holes...steam or spray and press brim and weight down a little....It will work...Hard to get a campaign had reblocked correctly any more now that Langenberg in Mo. has shut down their fur felt operation...Old MC campaign hats could be all top quality fur felt some were even Beaver..Langenberg made a lot of the Campaign hats..(covers) as did Stetson I'll bet you can buy a real hat press in the Ships Stores at PI or San Diego.
