Justified Stetson Hat

LE trade-ins, former stolen/recovered/duty/T&E/evidence guns

"Bruce,
OK, OK, I'll do it. I'm calling Bull**** on that claim.
6 S&W's for just over 3 bills....

Chuck"

Seriously. I believe I still have the price list somewhere. I bought two dozen guns that day, only to get home to find out we had been burglarized and my Glock 31 stolen.

You didn't lose anything, you were lucky.:D

Congratulations on your new acquisition. A Stetson is just a standard part of my daily wear. Here's one of the ones that I use for daily work around the place.

Then for dress-up occasions, I wear this or one of the others that are reserved for just those special functions.

You can't beat a good, quality, beaver fur felt hat...and they have a 150-year history to prove it.:)

Stetson

I brought a silverbelly Stetson in NM back in 1986 that I still have. Previously I had a black one that I gave away. I also have 3 Resistals; one silverbelly, one brown one I had since I got married, and a black one that is my favorite. I used to wear a lot of hatshats with a bluegrass band I played with. I heard one time that Resistal brought Stetson out at one time. Anyone know anything about that?

Boys,

A man's hat is more than simple piece of equipment...

It is as personal as any piece of apparel could be.

There's hats for Sunday wear, Ice-cream Socials and Goin' to Town.

When worn from day to day, it takes on it's own character and form.
As individual as the wearer himself.............

There's hats for everyday work;

A man's hat sez, "This is who I am."

Su Amigo,
Dave

P.S. 100% Beaver is the only way to go........

I'll plug my Hatter here, Jim Mackey of Shell Wyo. at Mackeycustomhats

Yep, that's it right there. Dave said it a lot better than I could've, but you get the idea.

Every so often, some bozo will try and grab your hat off your head...so you have to "educate" him. First rule...NEVER touch a man's hat!

Thanks, Dave, for saying what I was trying to say.

jrm53--just curious, what style did you end up going with that matches the Justified hat? Is it the Catera?

I've been watching ebay for a nice vintage fedora. Nothing yet so far. Size is a problem. According to Stetson's chart, I need an 8! Apparently I have big head.

I find it hard to believe that Stetson...Spells Marshall.....This is a mans comman name...Marshal is a law-enforcement office proper spelling.......Unless there is a reason they must spell it that way...I think the guy on Justified is a Deputy U.S. Marshal.....Not that any real Deputy could get away with what he sometimes does....well maybe in outstate Texas..a few WAE deputies might have tried some of his stuff...O well it is a tv show....

Yup Goerge,

Not even in Texas....Nor Kentucky neither....

I know it's jest a tv show, but I find the whole thing is kinda stretching the blanket purty far.

I worked one of the last (maybe) murder cases and trials of the 'Cornbread Mafia'...
Although the last I heard Johnny Boone was still on the lam.

This character in this show 'Justified' would not of lasted too awful long in the real world hills of Eastern Kentucky.

Those folks don't cotton to strangers killin their kinfolk all that much. ;):D

Su Amigo,
Dave

That hat ain't all that bad lookin'....

But, when ya get right down to it...It's what under that ol hat that counts!

Isn't that the truth...In the late 50's and 60's can you image that stuff in Hazard or Corbin or for that matter any where in Eastern Ky. What is really funny there is a federal joint now in Hazard...The first time we took a guy there I was astonished...Heck the Ky. State Policde didn't even like Hazard in the old day, and I might add the KSP wern't shy...O well It is a TV show...But sometimes....I remember in the 60''s cops up in Covington talking about Revenuers that just flat disappeard down that way....In those days Hazard was right on thunder road....Heck after turning straight many went right into stock car racing...They could drive down there, and had some real mechanic's........Youth it is wasted on the young....Keep dry!!!
