Burn Notice
Yeah, another TV thread.
The show has turned awfully dark this season. I don't see how how Michael and Fiona can possibly do the happy ending thing. Regardless of his reasoning I don't understand how Michael could live with himself.
How do you think it will end?

Like the ending on "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." Everybody dies in either a massive explosion or in a hail of bullets.

Yeah, and then USA starts another show called "AfterBurn"!
I've watched this show since it first hit the air and have never regretted the hour wasted doing so...
Until this season.

Unfortunately, I don't think they'll end up together either. I think in the end, they'll walk away from each other and Michael will go back to the CIA.

What happened to Sam? He's my favorite character
We are barely at season 4 on Netflix. We don't get most TV channels, since we reduced our Direct TV package to a minimum.
Keep us posted

Bruce is still around the last I saw. We've been pulling them up on demand when we have the time

Sam is around, and is always happy as long as he isn't picking up the tab for the mojitos. Cheers brother.

I have been an every-so-often watcher of this show, finding it an unpredictable mix of good and bad episodes, but with even the bad ones containing some good scenes. I like the cast, but some of the villains have been produced straight from the villain-extrusion device without a lot of effort put into making them even a little charismatic, let alone real.
I guess I should try to catch up on the current season before it is gone. The no-happy-ending scenario doesn't bother me. I always thought the show was about a loose assembly of loners who were deluding themselves about their connectedness, so I never expected a happy ending. We'll see.
Speaking of no happy endings, I continue to be stuck on Breaking Bad, which may be the best long-running morality play ever to have appeared on television. We're also in the last season of that show, but it is going to be alive on Netflix for years to come after all of its leads are killed off or imprisoned or professionally and psychologically destroyed in the last episode six weeks from now. Not everybody likes it; some of my acquaintances think they are being invited to view a drug kingpin as a hero. They are wrong, of course, but they will never know that because they won't watch it with eyes wide enough to see that it is a much larger story about how good guys can go bad and useless punks can find a moral purpose without actually intending to.
I'm not sure if Breaking Bad will ultimately replace The Wire in my regard as best dramatic TV series of all time, but they will both be at the top of my list.
