Hey-hey 'n Howdy, Drifters!
What a beautiful evening.
I hope all y'all are doin' well, and send prayers up for those who aren't, or could just use a bit of celestial assistance.
I have a really hard time, sometimes, remembering we're not set here to serve our own purposes,
but to help each other get past the pitfalls of being human.

One pitfall of being human is temptation, and falling victim to such.
Now I find myself attracting strange vintage rifles. I do not go looking for said firearms, they seem to find me.
Which brings on other pitfalls, such as, it's missing one of the sights,
either front or rear, or as in my Remington 511, both front AND rear. (Remedied recently.)
Or the magazines are made of unobtainium.
Do I pass? Heavens no! I just leave it to the universe to supply the needed parts, and put the thing on layaway.

I think I need to help the cosmic forces a bit these days. Pardon me while I go post in the "Wanted to Buy" classifieds. ;)

Go get em! I've had an old Mossberg .22 rifle itch for the last few years now.Haven't been able to satisfy it yet. I find one that I just gotta have and once I have it I start looking for another one. I'll have to take a few photos to post.

Bison Burgers, Oh Yea!!

We just finished supper. I pan fried the Bison Burgers. Couldn't decide weather to Fry or Broil or Grill outside. Easiest was just to pan fry them Buffaloes!

They were Great! A few months back we were at Steak and Shake and I noticed they sell their seasoning. So I bought one. And thought what the heck, I'll try it at home. And use it on beef burgers all the time. Just a light sprinkle on one side (learned the hard way of putting too much on my burgers? Too salty) and just a twist of fresh ground black pepper makes it perfect!

So I pattied up the Bison Burgers earlier this afternoon and sprinkled em down. And put back in the fridge. And about 15 minutes before cooking them, I let em get to almost room temperature, before cooking.

Sliced me a 1/2 Amish tomato and diced the rest. A little fresh cracked ground pepper along with a touch of fresh ground sea salt!

The Bison Burgers were fantastic!

Wifey and I and grandson had Plain Chips and I had diced tomatoes on the side! They don't eat mators.

I haven't told them it was Bison yet? I may not? But they both kept saying how good they were. The Bison is about 60% higher than ground chuck. But I feel worth it, every now and then!!! And now I know where to get it! Yummy!

Time to retire.
Have a great evening, folks.
See y'all on the morrow.

Mebee I'll get lucky and some wonderful Forum member will say,
"Hey, I've got three of those TC Classic sights..."

Peace, Love, HUGS!
Night-night, Drifters!

P.S. I love bison. The big-box store near me, BJ's, actually carries 1 lb packages.
Awesome!

I cook 'em in a cast iron skillet on the stove top with just a bit of rubbed sage. I'll cover them for a while then check and see if their ready for turnin'.
My wife makes some amazing bison meatloaf.
Tried grillin' 'em once. Most of the moisture dripped through the grate.
It does cost more but this gimpy Injun likes him some bison.

With our Discover Card we get cash back bonuses. When it gets big enough we use it to order meat from Omaha Steaks.
There's a pound of ground bison in the freezer. My wife's promising me some bison meatloaf soon.

Slim chance there Chuck, they got it with a broom! :D
To residential to start blasting away! ;)
Don't give up the "blasting away" idea so quickly. Ya just need to pack a little different firepower.

Or maybe one of these would be suitable. ;)

It can carry a bunch of guns and stays in touch with the Drift while on the road. Just what a BCC should have.

I'm very familiar with those Command Post Vehicles - lots of radios, satellite phones and computers. No guns, except for the Command Post Vehicle Staff's personal weapons.

Since the onset of my neuropathy, I've had a heck of a time getting the weight off.
My condition's sensitive to temperature and I usually gain some weight back every winter.
We joined the YMCA to help with that.
After our truck was totaled last October by a young idiot that ran a stop sign and smashed into it, we had a bit of a set back. We spent so much time dealing with doctors, insurance companies, used car salesmen trying to replace our truck and with all the stress involved that we didn't have much time to take care of ourselves.
I ended up gaining 22 pounds.
My wife's knee was smashed and she had to take a lot of time off work, going to physical therapy trying to get her knee healthy again. She also gained weight.
Now that warmer weather's here and most of that stuff's been resolved, we've been trying to get the extra weight off.
At the YMCA, we do the spin classes, weight lifting and jogging laps in the indoor pool.
Also, my wife and I go hiking in the mountains as often as we can.

I've set a series of weight lose goals. My main goal being to get back down to my pre-neuropathy weight of 170 pounds.
Right now I'm at 192 pounds.
I'm down 8 pounds from this years starting point.
I refuse to go on any kind of fad diet. Instead concentrating on consuming lean protein, fruits and vegetables. When I have carbohydrates, it's whole wheat instead of bleached white wheat. Eating healthy.
My dilemma? problem?
I'm stuck at 192.
Recently, the spin instructor asked if I've been lifting weights. Then one of the personal trainers commented on how I've been getting results and bulking up. "Looking good!"
I've been using the scale as a gauge rather than mirrors or actually anything else. I figured, they're just being nice to a gimpy Injun.

In the past, when I exercised, I'd tighten up, lose weight and get lean. Now I seem to be increasing bulk and strength and not losing much weight.
Could it be the meds and supplements I'm taking to help keep me mobile?
They're designed to increase peripheral blood flow which seems to help the motor neurons fire.
Could this also be helping to increase muscle mass?
I'm only 5'8", 192 pounds seems a bit much. My wife tells me I'm getting more solid but and I've got more squishy jiggly stuff than I'm comfortable with.
But my belt's in two notches since I started. I know it hasn't stretched, It's a double layer, hand stitched gun belt.

I'm thinking of just going with it and seeing where it takes me as long as there's no detrimental side effects.

Come to think of it, my time to the top of the mountain ridge today was 21:21, a full minute better than last years best when I weighed 178 pounds.

Matter Antimatter

What does it matter?
Why is there more matter than antimatter?
Big shiny, pretty!!! Dark Matter?
Don't know anything about this experiment but it is pretty and I would wager expensive!
APOD: 2016 May 23 - Inside a Daya Bay Antineutrino Detector

Think I prefer just drifting, though this experiment seems to wait for a particle just drifting along to be noticed ! 🎆 🌑 ?
