You go to a gun show and sell a rifle or shotgun to another person there who shows you he is from a neighboring state or Pennsylvania. does this transaction need to be registered or not? Thanks in advance

There is no registration in PA!!!

The state police are using the incomplete sales data base as method of illegal registration for handguns. So if you bring one in to PA when you move here from another state or are gifted one by parents, grandparents or spouse it is not on the bs sales data base. This has caused problems for people. Instead of them proving you don't legally own your handgun, you have to prove you do.

Face to face with a PA resident is legal with long guns.

FFL transfer for a handgun.

No face to face with non resident, that is federal law. Must be done at an FFL in non resident's home sate.
