TV Channels for Gun Enthusiasts

The Outdoor Channel has a few I think, but to be honest good YouTube channels provide the best gun and outdoor type programs around now. Less commercials and easy to find something for everyone.

I don't get the channels that carry such shows. But Discovery sometimes shows hunters in the Yukon and Alaska in their reality shows. They've had some gun shop shows, but they didn't present gun people in the best light.

Of course, they also feature Jeremy Wade in the excellent, "River Monsters", if you like fishing or nature. It's the best show that they have. Mr. Wade is a professional biologist as well as an accomplished angler.

  • The Outdoor Channel runs gun shows on Wednesday nights.
  • American Heroes Channel sometimes shows reruns of "Triggers", one of the better TV gun shows.

There used to be a series called "Tales of the Gun" but I don't remember what channel it was on or know if it's still showing.

Sportsman channel has a number of shooting related shows (it's a premium channel on my cable system) It also has NRA news.

The Outdoor channel has a lineup of shooting shows on Wed. (here). Shooting USA, Gun Stories, Impossible Shots, and a few more.

Shooting coverage is spotty elsewhere. I've seen shotgun competitions on NBC Sports Channel, but it's a hit or miss (pun intended) coverage.

Outdoors channel was the first to come to mind, we switched to insight to get it but then time warner bought out insight so we had to switch back to WOW who doesn't have it :(

After you see a dozen or so they are all the same........
more commercials each year, maybe 12 minutes of show now in the 30 minute slot time.
Over half of the whitetail shows show the deer running off into the bushes to expire !! 90% of my deer drop on the spot or only go 25 yards or so..........not 200 yards !!

I enjoy the Guns & Ammo type shows much better that have new ammo and weapons.......... and impossible shots.
