This fine character actor who played in so many Clint Eastwood movies died at 79. My fave role was in The Culpepper Cattle Company (he's center left in pic below), but he's more know as Clint's buddy in the Every Which Way...movies. R.I.P.

I have always like this man. He had a special way about him. He will be missed.
Having been in movies myself, I know what his work meant.

Thank you,
Henry

I always enjoyed watching him play the "bad guy". Great actor! Another of my favorite "bad guys" was Jack Elam.

If actors like Geoffrey Lewis weren't born, they'd have to be invented. They're essential to the success of most any movie. He certainly added a lot to Clint Eastwood's movies.

One of his near-theft of a movie, was his role as Luther Driggers, in "Midnight in The Garden of Good and Evil".

Rest In Peace!

All these years, and I never knew he was Juliette Lewis' father.

He was a lot of fun to watch onscreen, and more talented that a lot of people gave him credit for.

Who's Juliette Lewis?

He had that sort of unstable, psycho look that made him a good villain or screwy character.

He was great in Culpepper & Rough Riders.

The good ones make it look as if they aren't acting.

Yes, they do. The strange thing is, I never really paid attention to what his name was. He was always "that guy in the Clint Eastwood movies" who kept stealing scenes from Clint Eastwood.

Stacy Bridges in High Plains Drifter always comes to mind. My favorite line is when Stacy hollers, "Who Are You!"

Also remember him as Earl in the short lived Alice spinoff, "Flo."

Great actor. He'll be missed, and long appreciated by me.

Great character actor! Culpepper Cattle is one of my all time favorites. When Lewis stared at someone with those big blue eyes, you just knew he had a few screws loose.

Gosh darn it,Rest in Peace Geoff. My favorites with him of course-both Every Which Way But Loose as well as Any Which Way You Can. Too many character actors being called home now.
