When isn't it winter in Alaska?

Late June July and August is not Winter...in the Northern Part of the state anyway...maybe. Lol. I was once driving near Tok in a Thunderstorm and went up some hills and it turned into a snow storm with lightning etc..Late August IIRC..got back down out of the hills..just rain

Ah when I was younger my kinda place. What are the temps now? The woodstove still pops here though the generator isn't really necessary at least not often. And since I live on a small ranch it IS quiet.

I remember Ft. Rich.Alaska winters in 1950!! Ahhhh,I love it here in Fl.

Temp is in the high 20's the house could go for hours but I run the generator is for the freezer. Snow very wet and heavy have lost two trees some will be permanently bent. Early this summer was as dry and warm as it is wet and cold. 5 million acres burned it would have been worse but when the July rains come there has been no stop for 8 weeks. So fires went from on track to blow away the record to rained out.
