Before you shoot it, get a stainless steel guide rod and trigger kit.

Whatever you do, don't put a pistol grip or 30 round magazine high power magazine clip in it. That would make it an assault rifle and we all know how evil they are!

Not big enough for bear unless....
You get jacketed hollow point or buffalo bore ammo.

You are gonna need a really good leather belt for the holster. And don't forget to file off the front sight

Probably need a wrench for that. And besides, if you don't bother the bear, he won't bother.......No, wait. That's snakes. If you don't bother the snake......Oh never mind.

Will it work in bear country?
Silly question. Bear country doesn't deactivate firearms. Any gun that will work at the range will work in bear country.
That doesn't necessarily mean you should shoot a bear with it, though.

If you use that on a bear I don't believe you would have any bear left...just maybe some bear pudding.

Not sure...but it looks like a re-finish.
Plus the grips are wrong.

I would love to have it mounted in the bed of my Ranger, where it would be hidden by the camper shell & controlled remotely from the cab with a joystick...maybe then I could convince a few people that I really don't like tailgaters...

I would not shoot a steady diet of +P. It appears to be an Airweight, and they will explode into a cloud of hot molten metal mist after a certain number of rounds, but you never know how many till it's too late. The internet can fill you in more. Google "BS".
If you read more bear gun threads (like I have), you'd know that nothing below an .877 MagenBoomer Express will kill a bear. Anything less merely inspires the bear to chew on you more and is a waste of time, except that shooting it does give you some slight distraction from the pain during the initial bites.

But how do you shoot it when you're running from the bear? Ain't gonna be able to wing your (former) buddy with it when running either. If it's not a Magnum, not enough gun.
