I started buying up the older Warner Bros. cartoons on VHS and then on DVD when my kids were younger so that they could enjoy what I grew up watching. Now, it's my grandson's turn.
Just for the record, there isn't a violent bone in any of my three adult children's bodies ! Must be sumthin wrong with em.

Being retired, I can watch the old Warner Brothers stuff, free of PC editing, Monday through Friday from 1130 to 1300 Eastern, on Boomerang, an offshoot of the Cartoon Network. And do, a lot of days. Mel Blanc was a true genius.

I had to watch them in the theater, growing up before television.

I would get up, get a bowl of Frosted Flakes, and watch the test pattern on the TV (I was up so early) waiting for the cartoons to start from the sign-off the night before.

We were the first ones in our area to get a TV, my friends and I after school would turn on the TV and watch the test pattern.:D

From about age 12, I needed Saturday morning to recover from Friday night. Cartoons are really over rated when it comes cartoons or sleeping late on the weekend.
