I will admit that I am a bone in wings snob....gotta be bone in or nothing....In the past 50 years I have been a snob about frozen wings you can get at the supermarket.....Boy Have I been wrong all these years......Had a hankering today and decided to try the supermarket bone in bbq wings which I have never done in the past but really was not in the mood to pay wing shop prices.....

These are the best wings I have ever eaten....Tender, moist, tons of flavor and boy was I surprised beyond belief....better than Wing Stop, better than East Cost Wings, better than Buffalo Wild Wings..I have been converted...........

Got a serious liking for chicken wings. Carefully time my Walmart visits to 11 am so can get a dozen buffalo wings. Also like the oriental barbecue ones.

Unfortunately we don't have any wing places around so it's fried wings at the bars/restaurants.

But if the market has Tyson's will try a bag.

Love wings as well.

We go to Quaker Steak and Lube when in Ohio, they have decent wings.

I have a deep fryer set up in the garage along with my grill.

We do a lot of wings at home. Get them from an Amish market, fresh, never frozen.

Make up some seasoned flour and dredge.

We have about 9 different sauces to choose from.

Wife likes Spicy Garlic the best. I favor Jamaican Jerk and Nashville Hot.

I'll have to give them a try!

I am also a wing snob. From a restaurant? Ok in a pinch. From a bag out of the freezer? yuck.

Fresh, whole wings. A light coating of oil, salt and pepper. A bit of garlic powder doesn't hurt. I prefer to grill the wings whole, i believe they cook better this way on a grill, are easier to handle…and just taste better.

About 50 minutes at 350 degrees on my Weber grill. Turn them once during the cook. The key is to get the skin nice and crispy, golden brown.

In a sauce pan I heat up about 1/2 cup of franks hot sauce and 1 stick of butter.

I place the wings on a platter or in a large bowl and pour the sauce over them. My wife likes to sprinkle them with crumbled blue cheese, the real stuff. Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing, celery, carrots.

Lots of wings will be devoured this superbowl Sunday!

Yeah! "Boneless Wings" are just an alias for chicken nuggets. Get real.

I used to grill them up some to crisp the skin then toss them in sauce and bake them in the oven to finish them. Have not made any in quite a while. The wife won't eat them and the kids have left the building.

Fortunately for me my son picked up all my BBQ and other cooking habits so I get them at his place. I have to admit his BBQ brisket is better than mine. He cheats though. I used the most basic smoker, an Old Smokey. He's got one of them wireless pellet grills with remote control and thermometer. But better is better.

Now right there is another subject; just what part(s) of the chicken are the "nuggets"? Do I really want to know?

During warmer times like to marinate the wings in Frank's (not the Frank's wing sauce) . From 1 hour to overnight depending how spicy am feeling. Then on to the weber (with raised lower grate) for some quick/hot/covered grilling. Right before they're done, coat with sweet barbecue sauce and heat till sauce is set. Version of the oriental hot and sweet.

the ones pictured are done just with Franks

Kind of coincidental that this topic should pop up as I just finished cutting up 2 dozen whole chicken wings. Seasoned with sea salt, ground pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and marinating in Frank's Red Hot Sauce (I put that **** on everything). Next stop....air fryer.

Buffalo Wild Wings are over rated and their sauce is the worst part, all their food is very average and I can't believe they're so popular.

Ditto. I felt the same about Quaker Steak. BWW is over rated and over priced IMHO.

I get my wings at a local bar that is known for their wings. They have "Abe's" sauce, which is a Buffalo style sauce that is a medium heat. Cooked to order, big and meaty.

I get wings maybe 4 times a year. I meet my best friend, and we catch up and solve all the world's problems over wings and beer.

And that reminds me, we're due to meet up.
