With summer fast approaching got me to thinking about going to the Ice Cream store with the family and enjoying a scoop or two of hand dipped old fashion ice cream.

Mine is a Hand Dipped Scoop of Butter Pecan in a sugar cone.

The rich buttery flavor with crunchy pecans. Nothing better!

What's your ONE all time favorite?
 
Just your basic Vanilla ;)
I do like Butter Brickle as well. :cool:
My favorite sundae is The Dusty Road with extra dust(malt):D
 
The homemade vanilla I make from an old family recipe is so good that I don't eat anything else. The only exception is the chocolate chip made by an award-winning area independent confectioner, which I will have on rare occasions when I don't have any homemade on hand(& that's NOT 'mint' chocolate chip).

Since the first I had the worst I had was good.

My current absolute all time favorite is Aldi's super premium vanilla. Only 5 ingredients; cream, milk, sugar, egg and vanilla.

Bryers is good, Blue Bell is better and Aldi is best is the way my scorecard reads.
 
Homemade vanilla!
You can put it on pie, cake, cobbler!
You can put strawberries, peaches, blackberries, etc. on it!
You can put chocolate syrup, hot fudge, chocolate chips on it !
You can make banana splits, or sundaes with it!

But best of all, you can enjoy homemade vanilla all by itself on a hot day, watching the
word in peace, by yourself, with family and/or friends of all ages. Remember helping by sitting on the hand cranked tub, while your Dad, Granddad, or Uncle did the cranking! Reward was getting the paddle with all its goodness to enjoy ! 😄
 
Bluebell makes, or used to make, a flavor called Mexican Praline. OMG! It's like combining butter pecan with caramel and other goodness to achieve the ultimate flavor. Hopefully when they finally get over their recent setbacks they'll make that flavor again(Lord hear my prayers!)...

I enjoy most Ice cream. But when someone asks about a fave, I always got back 30 some years ago when I discovered Baskin Robins pumpkin ice cream. I had to have it every day on my afternoon break from the sporting goods store i was working at.(ok, MAYBE it had to do something with the blue eyed cutie behind the counter serving it:D:o )
