This is going to get thrown out just because the lower court didn't like the upper courts decision doesn't mean she can press forward with it.

All the judge did was cost taxpay money to push the political agenda.

"The judge last week ruled that a 2005 federal law protecting gun-makers from lawsuits does not prevent lawyers for the victims' families from arguing that the semi-automatic rifle is a military weapon and should not have been sold to civilians."

Are you kidding me!

Unbelievable! General Motors should be held liable for anyone killed in a Corvette, since they are capable of going faster than the speed limit. Etc., etc., ad nauseum. The Firearms Manufacturers protection act was passed for exactly this reason, and this radical judge is ruling that this case can proceed simply for political purposes. Hopefully in the near future, Remington will prevail in an appeal before this travesty ever reaches trial.

Ridiculous.

"All the judge did was cost taxpay money to push the political agenda." During an election year also, imagine that.

The gun hating lobby will never give up and the funding seems to be unlimited for this kind of legal action. The Federal law prohibits these frivolous suits but political judges can allow them. They want to get all the way to SCOTUS and hope for a liberal majority there.

For 200+ years, we have elected mainly lawyers to make our laws! Now most laws mainly benefit lawyers. I've heard over half of the world's lawyers are in the US.

Now tell me this, WHO'S SURPRISED?

An educated guess - It gets thrown out on an opening motion by the defense, if not sooner on an appeal. At least that's how it should work, if you, ya know, follow the law....

My real question is why, we, as gun owners, are always fighting (responding to) legal and political actions that threaten our gun rights?

Why are we seldom PROACTIVE? Anti's are not the only people and organizations with deep pockets. We should be spreading the word, thru paid advertisements, if necessary, in the main stream media. We should be filing lawsuits against these anti groups and organizations, and be having pro gun politicians introducing pro gun legislation, even if it stands no chance of passing, just to tie up their resources. A little "lets put the shoe on the other foot" kind of thing.

Tell me what the make-up of SCOTUS will be and I'll tell you who will prevail in this ridiculous lawsuit (the PLCAA notwithstanding).

You'd be better served suing Al Gore for preventing global warming, therefore preventing the elimination of said ice.:D

Caje should jump right on this one.
