Default Kid with cancer

A friend lives near a girl (about 7 yo) who has cancer.

She was not able to go to school. Her family was poor and didn't have them money to fix up the yard or put in swings etc.

So the kid started a lemonade stand to have something to do. She said she would donate the money to a kid's cancer charity.

A local police officer stopped by, bought some lemonade, heard the story and told the other officers plus local fire fighters.

They all started coming by. The kid made $800 in one day. Then they started to solicit donations and more money came in.

Last weekend, 40 off-duty cops and firefighters showed up at her house and landscaped and sodded the back yard. Replaced the fence, and then put up a swing set and play house someone donated.

Sort of a nice story. A change of pace from riots.

A great story with a showing how people really do care. Kudos to them all.
I expected the story to end with a twist that the little girls lemonade stand being shut down due to having no license to operate.

My eyes got misty reading the OP, & then I felt pride in the LEO's and Firefighters that responded the way they did. God Bless!!!!
