I replaced a couple parts on my M1 carbine bolt and need a bolt tool. I will pay the shipping both ways if you have a tool please let me know.

I once detailed stripped an M1 carbine bolt with very little problem. But found I needed at least 4 hands to reassemble it . I suspect that a good smith versed in US military firearms will reassemble your bolt for very little & ship it back to you collect... but every smith I know will not loan out tools... they cannot do other people's work while you have the tool. Where are you located?

I don't have one, but I see on Gunbroker that there is a new unused USGI example with a starting bid price of $15. People are not standing in line to bid on it. It hardly seems worth the trouble of shipping one *twice* instead of just owning one...

Every carbine owner should have a bolt tool as well as a tappet nut wrench. I broke a right hand locking lug on a carbine once, and needed the tool to reassemble the parts in a new bolt body.

Go to youtoob I'm sure there is a video that show's how to do it without the tool.

Most assuredly not. It's not task for the faint of heart WITH the tool. It was a royal PAIN without, and still while fixing the bolt in place while doing it.
I was able to get it done without the tool, BUT, there would have been no way to make a video showing how. Definitely not a G-rated one!:mad::mad:
