Not the same video but it is the same tunnel. Is this the same video of the same hike you put up about a year ago? Looks familiar.
It's not so bad as long as you're not in a hurry.Ive been trying to catch my breath after following yall through this hike.)

It's named after the fruit. Which is also the name of the town we live in.I have to ask.
Is the Paw Paw tunnel named after the little known, but extremely delicious, fruit that grows on trees in the eastern part of the country?
Or is it named for someone's grandpaw?
I'm serious here, okay?
And matter of fact, after some online searching, I see the tunnel will be closed indefinitely, effective June 2 (today). So I reckon it's a good thing you got your hike in already.
The park's website says the area will be undergoing rock scaling...removing rock from the tunnel's interior to lessen the chance of injuries from falling rock. It states that they expect full reopening by late July, although there may be delays due to weather.
My searching, by the way, still didn't tell me how the tunnel got its name.![]()
They've recently built a connector path to the Towpath that runs right here to town.I keep editing this post, the more I look at the video. That's some beautiful country, isn't it? I envy you your access to it. I have to drive about 80-90 miles to get up into the North Carolina mountains.
Thanks for the video, Snubby. So, when are you opening a B&B for us forum members so that we can come and visit and take in the scenery?![]()

That'd actually be pretty cool. There's a rather large camping area. Wouldn't it be cool if a bunch of forum members took it over and we had a massive Bison burger cook out after taking a nice long hike to admire all the cool stuff I've found while exploring the trails in the area? When we bring our own rubbed sage and buffalo burgers!
Yes it does.Been a long time since I've been there. Very cool place but it sucks to have to go into MD to get to it.
Well that sounds like good exercise.Been a while since I've enjoyed a "Snubbyfan Productions" video.
Luv it, Snubby. Just Awesome.
I have yet to go on any good hikes this year.
I have, however, been beating up on my body a bit doing other areobic activities.
Like furniture moving and digging garden beds.
