I don't care for this. Beavers or woodchucks, I prefer my fur bearing mammals flat, not curled. Why, the very idea!

I think some of you are not familiar with the term Woodchuck, A Woodchuck is another name for Ground Hog. Out West Marmots are often called Rock Chucks.
A Beaver is a rodent, but is not a mouse or Woodchuck!

I STILL can't come to grips with the fact that Curling is actually an Olympic sport! Should be classified with Darts, Bocci, Shuffleboard, etc.
In southern Ohio we call them groundhogs. Our more refined northern cousins call them Wood Chucks. At any rate down here in the hills we don’t curl no beaver. If you fool with either one they will lay teeth to you that you won’t forget.

In the mitten state, we call them targets.
Well, not to be outdone, the U.S has a women's cat curling team.

They were disqualified from International competition when it was discovered that the "cats" were actually penguins in cat suits.
