A retired deputy friend of mine just gave me a pile of old catalogs, pamphlets, and some paper back books. All are gun related. Each item is stamped "Calvin Goodard."
I know who he is, he is known as the father of comparative ballistics. He worked on the St Valentines murder, Sacco and Vanzetti and many other notorious crimes. I think all these publications must have come from his personal library. There are some absolutely great Smith and Wesson items. One catalog is a . Smith and Wesson D-2 from 1921, it is really great. Most of the stuff dates from the teens, twenties and thirties. Does anyone know about about this library? Or anything else regarding him.
