I do not work for, own any stock or know anyone who works for Arm & Hammer,,, so there's that. But their Double Duty cat litter is the absolute best ever. Have been using the stuff for almost a year and Smokey sure took to it with no issues and it just makes cat life easier. Clumps up everything into neat balls that is easily scooped out and it stays unbelievably odor free for a LONG time. So much so that I have gone close to a month before changing it with no ill effects to the cat or the litter. I swear you could put the box in your food closet and never know it's there. If you are still going the oil dry method, you may want to give this a try as it might save you money in the long run.

Yes, but how good does it do picking up oil and other car products that find their way to the garage floor!:D

PS we have had inside cats for 50 years and have tried them all.:)

We like pine pellet bedding for horse stalls or stove pellets. Around $6-7 or less at the farm supply store for a 40-pound bag. Stove pellets are usually less expensive than livestock bedding. Cats like them, are less messy than ordinary clay type litter, last a long time and they are easy to dispose of.

We tried the pellets a few months ago and did not like them at all.

Trade for a Dog -- They will always love you, play with you and always cuddle with you :-)

They go outside and it is easy to pick up had does not have a health hazard for breathing the litter dust.

Please no hate response, my response is meant to be humorous to those of us who are dog lovers.

With today's chemistry I would suspect there are several good litters available and the litter houses have improved from the open trays.

Best cat litter I ever found was in the next-door neighbor's sandbox. I never had to clean it out once and it was too far away to smell it.

Yes, my neighbor's flower beds work great!

For decades I bought a product called "World's Best cat Litter". Expensive but it worked well. But something must have changed, because now it's dust city, the cat tracks light colored dust all over after exiting the litter box, including onto my blue jeans if she hops up on my lap. I'll give that Arm & Hammer Double Duty cat litter a try, thanks for the post.

This one is the best I've ever used, and I've tried them all.

Agreed. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and really enjoy them both. But, after our last cat died, I swore we’d never own another. Just can’t stand the thought of the litter box in the house again.

It’s been 4 years now without a cat, and all is good! We’ve got two dogs, and they’re a lot of company. More work than owning a cat, but also a lot more fun, and the bonus of bathroom in the house. Works for me..l

We have a bunch of Birman breed cats inside and a barn cat outside. Barn cat is awesome brings snakes, stuff all the time. We do lock her inside the garage at night, she can get mice there. The Birmans are pretty cool, play fetch, sit next to you, pretty dog like, no crazy late-night activity. But they have long hair. We finally got down to one and then had to adopt 2 when mother in law passed. I love the cats, my cat Helia sits next to me, leaning on me, sleeps on the foot of the bed, very doggy like. I will miss her a bunch. She used to lay on the dog, he loved her. Anyway we use Fresh Step or Tidy Cat unscented have for years. Like how it works, but hate the dust. Pets are pets as long as they make you smile they are doing their job.

Dillon and Helia waiting for bedtime, Helia , Ipo and Himani checking out what's for dinner.

I know ,I know and yes we have no kids !
