Favorite Largemouth bass lure??

My bass lures are, or were old 70s era lures that have good track records. Most of what's already been mentioned. The best lure, by far, was a lure, of unknown manufacturer, that My wife saw on a clearance table for just a few cents. Ugliest thing I ever saw. I was embarrassed to even have it in my box. But to satisfy her, I tied it on and kinda hoped I would loose it on the first cast. Danged thing caught a Bass on every cast. Even wrapped it around a low tree limb, and somehow unwinded it to fall into the water - bam! Big Bass. It's retired now.

Another fly rod guy, but around here a good sized streamer works pretty good.
BUT, if you want biguns, when I was younger the no fail was a live 3-4” bluegill hooked through the back and tossed into heavy cover with a bobber. Just don’t set the hook the first take. They always come back after they have stunned it. When they take it the second time, give it a second or three before you set the hook. Never had one take the hook too deep doing this.

Whoa!!! We need pictures!! When you discover a lure with that kind of track record, you need to share!!:D

When I fished the lakes up here, I could have good success bouncing a Gulp worm along weed lines and near brush. The few years we lived in SC and I would try the same technique, had very little luck. But the lake we were on had minimal weeds and had more flooded areas to try and I just couldn't get the hang of it. My wife had better luck using spinners, I was just too stubborn to give up on “my way” lol.

When I could get them, waterdogs. Big bass come unglued over a waterdog, one hit so hard while my spinning rig was not engaged in wind up and spun around hard enough to draw blood when it slapped into my hand. One of the best bass I'd caught up to that time, around here a six pounder is a wall mounter and that was a five pound fish, nice filets.

Been fishing in a friends pond in middle GA of late, main focus has been crappie. Prefer using ultra light rigs when I fish, open face spinner and 4 or 6 pound line. Use rooster tails for bass when crappie arent hitting. The last couple weeks brought in a ten pounder on a yellow rooster and an eight pounder on a darker color as well as a few 2 to 3 pounders. Try a small rooster tail and see what happens. Bream and even crappie may hit them as well.

Black Jitter Bug at night. Abu Spinners daytime...early morning early evening a good frog. real or fake.

Zara Spook! Can’t believe it hasn’t been mentioned yet! Always catch a bigger fish on the Spook! Great action and awesome top water hits
