I am on several other forums and and avid collector of Ruger No. 1 rifles, and many other "wheel guns". I am here to learn more but also was scammed on another forum. Curious if it happened here as well to any member.

If anyone on this forum or any other forum has been scammed by a Michael Spector in Phoenix Arizona please contact me. I am working with a detective that has found Mr. Spector. The problem is the D.A. is hesitant to do much as Mr. Spector was smart enough to keep his scams under $1,000 and unless multiple people come forward he will escape prosecution.

Welcome aboard and I'm glad you caught up with this thief.

I'm well familiar with the name Michael Spector and have banned him a number of times shortly after joining, but don't think he ever scammed anyone here.

I looked back 2 years in our reports and couldn't find the specifics. I'll have another look.

What was his username on the other forum?

EDIT with additional info:

I posted this scam alert back in 2022. It contains multiple usernames and emails this crook has used.

SCAM ALERT!!! Doitright / [email protected] / [email protected]

He tried to re-register a few weeks later under username redkinging, but was quickly banned.

It's too bad wishing karma on these jerks generally doesn't work. Because I would wish for these scammer's hands to get so terribly hurt they couldn't use a keyboard ever again. And go mute too.

I'm surprised that you have managed to drum up that much interest from LE and the DA's office. I assume firearms have got them a little interested. Around here scams that don't involve the casinos are treated as "civil matters", LE and the DAs want nothing to do with them, regardless of the money involved. Tens of thousands lost in a custom truck scam? No official interest. Former customer gets money returned after suing closed Henderson car shop
