Who likes tea? Any fanatrics?
Been an iced tea drinker most of my life.
But recently had a bout with "food poisoning"
and a friend suggested green tea while
recuperating.
Now I'm hooked on hot tea, green and black.
For me, decaf is also a must.
Now I look forward to hot brewed tea and
haven't had coffee in a month. And don't
miss it.
Just drink it plain, no lemon, no sugar, no
honey, no milk. Just plain.
I may have become a tea fanatic.

decaf Chai gets me up in the morning. I'm not wild about the decaf part but my heart says I had more than my share of caffine in the Navy....
(It gives me strange heart rhythms.)

I have three cans of real Aisian tea in the cuboard but last night I grabbed a old tea bag from the wife's collection for a fast two cups, to enjoy, last night, during the light rain and football game.
Generally coffee in the morning.

lifetime tea drinker from a family of coffee drinkers.
In my thrift shopping of the last 15 years I discovered Corningware, they made a 3 cup kettle which I use now use. Boil the water, steep the tea in one container.
Earl Grey is the one tea I don't care for. The last time I had it, too perfumy, had a soapy taste to it-?

I have a 4 cup coffee pot of Bigelow Cinnamon Stick tea with honey for breakfast. Some of my other favorite ones are Bigelow Perfect Peach and Celestial Seasonings Honey Vanilla Chamomile. There is also a White tea that's good, I don't remember who makes that one.
I just put the tea bag in the pot and let the coffee maker heat up the water.

I was raised on it but Ruthie and Logan are addicted. 4 to 6 mugs a day each from this workhorse.
We all drink it with a bit of milk and sugar as me mum taught me.

I have been drinking Lipton black tea since 1985. Hot tea, and iced tea. Haven't drank coffee since 1985 and don't miss it. Do like the smell of coffee percolating tho.

I put 1 Lipton Decaf bag in the coffee maker with a pot of water. As it gets colder, I might drink 3 pots a day.
I drink coffee when out, but tea at home. Ice tea in the Summer, hot in the Winter.

Been drinking tea since I was a tot.
Not fussy as to brand.
My grandma thought this was the funniest thing she’d ever seen.

I was raised on full strength PG Tips in England. Late wife claimed it wasn't tea but some kind of beef stock it was so strong. These days I stick with the black Lipton, real and decaf depending on time of day. I also drink coffee. Wife#2 drinks green tea, and we made one of her Mexican friends a Lipton addict.

I like unsweetened iced tea for meals and during hot weather, but my body requires strong black coffee for the first four hours of every day. My dog avoids me until I've had my fix(s).

Not a fanatic by any means but I do like it a lot and enjoy it regularly. For iced tea it's Lipton cold brew. for hot it's green or black tea and jasmine tea.
PSA: If you are interested in serious tea adventure I strongly recommend Teavana. Google it and see all the paraphernalia and exotic teas they offer. My daughter gave me a set and half a a dozen varieties a few years back. Blew me away.
Really. Go check it out. You can thank me later. ;^)

Side note; mom used black tea baths and black tea compresses for sunburn relief.
It bloody works.

I think one must have some kind of biochemical disposition to like tea. Growing up, my parents and my little sister drank gallons of the stuff, hot and cold, year round. I hated tea then, and now that I'm 80, I still hate tea. I'll only drink it if I'm in danger of becoming dehydrated and there's nothing else to drink.
Bleah!

Unsweetened iced tea has become my substitute for beer. Medical orders to lay off the alcohol, the unsweetened ice tea makes it tolerable.

I was digging around in the back of a cupboard the other day and found a tin of loose Japanese green tea. I remember getting it when I was stationed in Yokosuka. That was in the mid 1960's.
I haven't worked up the nerve to try it yet.......

I don't drink coffee at all.
I drink a mix of generic green, generic black and Celestial Seasonings Black Tea with Matte. I boil it in a pot every morning and drink water the rest of the day

My brother was in construction, running a framing crew. Although he was a coffee man, during the summer, him and his crew would drink gallons of iced tea each day. He drank Red Rose tea and amassed quite a collection of the little figurines they used to include with the tea. After he passed, a couple of his friends got into a discussion over who would get custody of his figurines. They finally tossed a coin. He must have had 50 or more of them.

I have been a fanatic tea drinker since I was little. Iced tea was my favorite, but I also enjoyed hot tea when we visited my County Mayo born grandmother. At one point a few years ago I was drinking a gallon of tea a day, but I have cut that way back in the last few years.
My favorite tea is either Barry’s or Lyon’s. I used to have to bring boxes of it back with me from Ireland, but I can get it over here now. I drink my tea, hot or cold, unsweetened with lemon.

Yes. Been a hot tea drinker all my life.
I highly recommend the Uncle Lee's Organic Green Tea from Walmart. It rivals the best loose green tea I've got from Teavana.
For a red tea I like Tetleys, also from Walmart. PG Tips are too astringent for me.
My day starts with 2 small cups of coffee then I switch to tea.

I like black, green and white tea. Occasionally Earl Grey or jasmine green. I never add milk or sugar… just like my coffee, beer and wine.

Finding an Earl Grey blend you like can be a long quest. I prefer basic yellow box Twinnings. Almost all domestic US Earl Greys suck. The bergamot is poor quality and too heavy.
I started out as a little kid drinking tea with mom and a neighbor when I was about 4. Mine was about half milk. We got loose tea from the original Starbucks location in Seattle when half their sales was tea, and they didn't sell any beverages in store. How's THAT for a long time ago. This was before they moved to their "original" location.

I enjoy unsweetened iced tea, but also Arnold Palmers (iced tea and lemon aid) and John Dailys (iced tea, lemon aid and a shot of vodka). Also been known to have a T&T (iced Tea and Titos).
As for hot tea; usually green tea, honey and yes...milk. I see no reason to change after 55 years or more.

Coffee before noon, black tea any time after. 20 oz mug, a tsp of date syrup and lemon, once is sufficient. Joe

I started drinking tea (English or Irish breakfast) in the 70's in San Francisco when coffee just didn't make it on those cold, rainy, foggy winter mornings. Tea just seemed to work better. Somewhat of a fanatic now buying my tea directly from China via Yunnan Sourcing - The Ultimate Source for Yunnan Pu-erh Tea — Yunnan Sourcing Tea Shop where they have literally hundreds of different interesting teas. Definitely fanatic level as I purchase in kilo quantities!

The only time I drink hot tea is when I get a bad cold, and then I spike it with a shot of bourbon & a little honey. A sure way to feel better handed down from my dad.

I drink ice tea no matter the temperature outside. My late mother liked it strong so it looked like used motor oil. I brew my own from tea bags it is better than bottled.

I never understood the appeal of coffee at all. When my sister and I were kids, we were assured that someday, we would like it. Nope, neither of us can stand the stuff, but we both like tea. She's a green tea freak, but I like plain old black tea, hot is ok, iced is preferred, with it a little sweet. I've tried all kinds of teas over the years and some were, well, disgusting (Earl Grey), some were OK, but black is always the best. Usually, it's Lipton, but I'm not picky about brand. Honey, sugar, cinnamon, it's all OK as a sweetener, with cinnamon, the good stuff not the cheaper kind, my favorite. I used to make iced tea in a Mr. Coffee, and it was as black as any coffee, but in my old age, I just want it to look about the same as Pepsi or Coke. If I could, I would drink Pepsi with every meal, and in between, I love it to an almost insane degree.

I used to love a good cup of Earl Grey with honey and a little sugar, but then I started getting kidney stones on a regular basis. Tea is supposed to be high in oxalate, so I quit drinking any kind of tea. I miss it.

Drinking coffee as I read here. Figuring it up. I probably drink at least 5 gallons of tea per week.....Don't care to much about carbonated colas. If I drink one it's a Pepsi. And you can count one hand with fingers left over on how many of those I drink per month.

My gf just discovered rooibos and likes the vanilla blend. She got some Positively from Amazon, which she ikes but she has now settled on a blend from Spice Hut in Bellingham WA, although it's more expensive (but local for her).
My fav. is Yorkshire Gold loose leaf tea, which a local shop brings in from the UK to ensure it's the full-strength UK blend, raher than the weaker "export" stuff. It's available on Amazon and I believe the loose tea sold there is "UK strength", which may not be true for the bags.
