Dodgers win the World Series!!!
Came back from 5-0 in the fourth inning to win 7-6. Great game, even if the Yankee errors contributed to the result.

I watched the Series. Interesting games. I expected the Dodgers would win. Roberts gets the credit for the Dodger's wins but sometimes I think they win in spite of his management, not because of it. They have a core group of very good players.

As an ex Bronxite living in Los Angeles I rooted for both teams. But everyone at the series party found my double cheering annoying.

Roberts certainly has his quirks. He apparently doesn't believe in allowing his pitchers to throw no-hitters. Twice I've seen him replace pitchers who had no-hitters going into the late innings. I guess, to him, saving pitchers' arms is more important than giving them a chance at no-hitter fame.

I'm glad the Yankees at least didn't lose 4-0. Also glad to see Judge finally hit a homer in the Series. My dream scenario was a game 7 in LA, with the Dodgers winning late. But hey, tonight's game was a good one!
Well done, fellas!

Posted this just as Hernandez tied the game .
October Baseball
Giving a team six outs in an inning usually doesn't end well.
I was leaning for the Yankees due to the ex Marlin players on the roster but being a south Floridian have no problem seeing anything NY related lose air .

All in all not a very good series. Big hitters swinging for the seats with runners in scoring position. Pitchers staying away from the hitters. Lots of 3&2 counts. Uncountable pitching changes. lackluster fielding.
Modern baseball at its uninteresting best.

I was/am just the opposite, neither team would be my pick but Freddie surely would, he was and continues to be one of my favorite baseball players. He's not a showboat and does his job extremely well without having to run his mouth. Well deserved MVP!

Best trade the Red Sox ever made, dumping that bum Verdogo on the Yankees! He set up the grand slam and struck out to win the game for LA! What a PUNK! GO SOX!

I'd rather watch the Little League World Series than the so called "pros" of MLB. They make tens of millions of dollars but on clutch plays drop an easy fly ball in center field or throw the ball in the dirt on a toss to third base.

I came out West when I was 8 months old. That said I was born in Brooklyn in 1938. So I had to root for Brooklyn--Oops LA Dodgers.

Did you see the kid who blew off a finger with the fireworks? he won’t be able to loot for at least two weeks.

I can't stand either of the coastal teams, especially the Yankees. I would not have minded at all if they had been swept. Other than my Astros I do not root for teams, I root for players. Freddie, Mookie, Judge and Cole all play the game like it should be played. So I enjoyed watching them.

Have no love for either team even though I was fortunate to have seen the Dodgers play at Ebbets Field when I was a kid. Go Mets go.

I think a more correct title would be the Yankees lose the WS. Game 5 was an example of of how things can fall apart quickly.
Not a fan of either team, but the Dodgers did more things right than the Yankees did wrong.
The better team won.

Grew up in The Bronx. Loved the BKLYN Dodgers and NY Giants. hated the Yankees until Steinbrenner. Wanted to see LA Dodgers destroyed this WS for leaving NY. After '57 I hated Dodgers and Giants for leaving. Baseball was fun then.

I'm guessing you don't get on The Lounge much. Every Saturday during college football season there is at least one thread started on the subject.

I care about sports.
Sports are entertaining to me. Just like shooting, hunting, and watching The Simpsons.
Its funny that you took the time to comment on something "no one really cares about."

Came upon this one late. I'll just say it was a pleasure to a former NYer to watch both Yankee AND Met post season games on the same afternoon.
