Dodgers win the World Series!!!

I watched the Series. Interesting games. I expected the Dodgers would win. Roberts gets the credit for the Dodger's wins but sometimes I think they win in spite of his management, not because of it. They have a core group of very good players.

Roberts certainly has his quirks. He apparently doesn't believe in allowing his pitchers to throw no-hitters. Twice I've seen him replace pitchers who had no-hitters going into the late innings. I guess, to him, saving pitchers' arms is more important than giving them a chance at no-hitter fame.

I'm glad the Yankees at least didn't lose 4-0. Also glad to see Judge finally hit a homer in the Series. My dream scenario was a game 7 in LA, with the Dodgers winning late. But hey, tonight's game was a good one!

Well done, fellas!

Giving a team six outs in an inning usually doesn't end well.
I was leaning for the Yankees due to the ex Marlin players on the roster but being a south Floridian have no problem seeing anything NY related lose air :D.

All in all not a very good series. Big hitters swinging for the seats with runners in scoring position. Pitchers staying away from the hitters. Lots of 3&2 counts. Uncountable pitching changes. lackluster fielding.
Modern baseball at its uninteresting best.

I remember a story several years back, from Pittsburgh. The Steelers had won. I don't remember what they won - whether it was just a game or whether it was the playoffs (does football have playoffs?) or it could have been the super bowl.

But the Steelers won, and Pittsburgh went crazy. Rioting and looting and burning and destroying.

Sometimes I wonder about sports fans.

I was just the opposite!

As an ex Bronxite living in Los Angeles I rooted for both teams. But everyone at the series party found my double cheering annoying.

I was/am just the opposite, neither team would be my pick but Freddie surely would, he was and continues to be one of my favorite baseball players. He's not a showboat and does his job extremely well without having to run his mouth. Well deserved MVP!
