Who makes/sells a rifle safe/cabinet not more than 11.0" wide
I see lots of narrow rifle safes/cabinets 11.8" wide but I need a safe/cabinet not more than 11.0" wide.
Security level is to keep young children out -- not to protect expensive firearms from a full grown adult with a crow bar or a truck.

Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but this outfit has a couple of offerings that might fit the bill:

Specifically, the Model 40 or model 47. I'm thinking about incorporating one into a van build I'm planning.

You might try a local cabinet shop.
They could make one in wood, that has a metal/wood door with
a sturdy lock/hasp.
You could put a lock on a closet.
Safe Ammo storage is important.

You might also look at a "Gym Locker" style cabinet. They are sold in industrial supply company's and online from Home Depot I believe. Obviously not very strong, not water tight or fireproof but it might serve your needs.
Whatever type you buy, please make sure you securely bolt it to the floor in all 4 corners as something that inexpensive, light weight and weak construction can easily be picked up and broken into off site.
Personally I'd look for a higher quality safe but I am not in your shoes and don't know your situation and position. Good luck.

Would also consider a stronger safe/cabinet so long as it is no more than 11.0” wide

Sturdy Gun Safe makes excellent quality safes...in the USA.
Supported dead-bolts, no non-sense.
They will do custom sizes, might be worth giving them a call and discussing what you need.
