Who makes a decent portable boombox

I'm thinking about buying one of those to pair to my JBL Xtreme 3. That's the cool thing about some JBL speakers, they'll pair together.

For sure that's the way to do it. My son talked me into getting the JBL Boombox because he's got the Extreme 3. I got mine for a good deal during Prime Days on Amazon. Got my daughter an Extreme 3 as well. They sound great, but the Boombox pushes more sound. It sounds really good when they're all linked.

Ummmmm, to listen to music and such?

You do realize that "boombox" aka "ghetto blaster" is slang, slang that's been around for decades, for portable stereos, right?

The imagery is wonderful: Cell phone at one ear and boombox at the other.

That's stereo or perhaps just hysterical.

I will let Ian and his dad know they are doing it wrong.

Wrong and inconsiderate.
For most of us who go camping or hiking to enjoy the solitude of a natural setting away from the hustle and bustle of society, few things are more maddening than hearing some inconsiderate jerk blasting loud music through the mountains and valleys day or night.
Buy some ear buds and crank up the volume to their heart's content.

Check out the JBL Boombox. I got this one for my garage and it sounds great!

Amazon just dropped off my JBL Boombox 3.

I thought my JBL Xtreem 3 was a big speaker. The Boombox makes it look tiny. I fired it up and it sounds most excellent. Still trying to pair it with my Xtreem3.

Good luck finding one that doesn't depend on a phone.
We had the same issue when my wife's 'boombox' was damaged at her work.
Bought one at Be$ybuy but it was not a good one.
Only works sometimes.
Best bet is getting lucky with a well taken care of used or serviced one.
Had the same problem with our new car, dont come with CD players any more and they make it impossible to add one.
How hard can it be to add an Aux input ?
The Mazda has 2 usb ports but we dont own anything that uses that format and our phone aren't set up with music programs.
Bluetooth is useless to us.
And the stock stereo is pitiful.
