...if any of my posts this week are soaking wet. I have been hit full-on with Cat 5, 10 on the Richter scale, multi-megaton, nose fire-hosing allergies. I'm my own worst enemy as I insisted on going shopping this afternoon. I'm guessing I inhaled an extra dose of whatever pollen is doing me while out. Hopefully, allergy season will be over soon, and I will be able to trade my yellow car for the silver one I use the rest of the year.;)

We got some rain about 3am yesterday morning that knocked down a lot of the pollen. We are supposed to be getting more rain on Thursday night and Friday. Hopefully that will take care of a lot of the leftovers. I tend to do the double barrel allergy shotgun of Allegra and Flonase this time of year.

The oak trees were really bad here this year . I was washing down the pool deck the other day and you could see the yellow pollen just running down to the drain . I have to change the sock in the skimmer about every other day cause it's just full of oak pollen .

Tis the season. I'm congested and have had some nasty sneezing fits.

This is Florida, something is blooming here year round! First we have the oak in the back yard, then the oak in the front about 2 months later (different species I guess). Then the Maple tree, then the Chinese Rain Tree. Then the small stuff. Not to mention the Groves of Orange and Grapefruit in the area. Darn near a year round problem here for those with allergies!

Wow, definitely sounds like there’s a bush with your name on it.

My wife always gets hit with allergies. In Texas it's just different pollen, but the symptoms are the same.

OTOH, when we travel I might get stuffy for a day or so and then I'm fine. I tell people I'm hypoallergenic.

Except when we moved to Texas in Nov. of 2023. Within two days I was sick as a dog with stuffy sinuses and a sore throat. Urgent Care wasn't sure what it was, but it wasn't COVID or the Flu. Sent me home with OTC medications.

I got worse and developed a fever, cloggier sinuses, and even had a nosebleed. Whatever it was developed into a sinus infection and they sent me home with a prescription for anti biotics.

Since then, I'm back to normal. I know that others suffer allergies, but my body seems to have adapted.

Stole this from Facebook just for you!

Used to get hay fever something awful. Benadryl and me are old friends. Would get a sinus headache and sneezing, and if it was really bad, my corneas would swell and wrinkle, so I couldn't see. That was in my mid-twenties. As I got older it was less and less severe and now it barely effects me. Don't know why it got better, it just did.

I developed what I call "gushing hayfever" in England when I turned 16, just in time for the important exams you take at that age. I reckon my exam papers had to be through a laundry mangle before being sent to the examinations board.

So what happened to the cries of "I can't wait till spring!!"

I hate spring partly because of this, but mostly because it means it will soon be hot as hades and humid for a very long time.

The neighbors Peach tree is just starting to bud, in this warm weather.

The good thing is, that 20% of the limbs are on my side of our fence.

Come on Peach cobbler !
