RIP Dr Kildare

I really liked his work in Shōgun.

I also rewatch his made-for-tv movies "The Man in the Iron Mask" and "The Count of Monte Cristo" at least once a year.

RIP good sir.

Dr. Kildare was before my time.

I remember watching Shogun, and afterwards reading the book, which was much deeper than the TV mini-series.

RIP Richard Chamberlain, you were a man of many hats.

Loved him as the French Trapper Alexander McKeeg in Centennial.
Got me to try Lapsang Suchon tea. Yuck! Tasted like old rope!

Steve 😀

There was a brief period in the early 60s when medical shows were part of PM TV fare. Chamberlain in "Dr. Kildare," Vince Edwards in "Ben Casey," Zina Bethune (remember her?) in "The Nurses." Later in the 60s-70s: Robert Young in "Marcus Welby, MD." There were others I know little about, including their titles.
