You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown at the Capitol Theater
Yesterday afternoon I went to the Capitol Theater in Chambersburg, PA to to see this show put on by the Chambersburg Community Theatre. I have been involved with this community theater group as a member, patron and actor for about the last 30 years. It was a joy to get back and see a community theater production again. I used to go to a lot of community theater productions but somehow life got in the way. But lately I decided it was time to go back to being in the audience.
Community theater players don't get a dime. They do it for the love of the theater. And as for the quality of the productions, they don't give up anything. I got to see a new generation of actors in action that have come up behind mine. I was duly impressed with their performance. And I think the current actors were happy to see one of the members of an older generation of actors come out to support them.
It was a wonderful show, and I'm hoping to get to see more productions either at this community theater or another one.
