Angry Antivirus System Pro alert

I just got this **** on my computer and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I've done a google search for removal but several of the fixes are redirected to advertisements of one sort anonther.

Has anyone else got this? If so how did you get rid of it?

Thanks

Step 1: Remove computer from house, place outside on a tree stump.
Step 2: Load slugs into 12 gauge shotgun.
Step 3: Fire slugs into computer (this will remove all traces of any virus).
Step 4: Buy a Mac, sit back and enjoy.

You can't find the program in "control panel > add or remove programs?"

How about "accessories > system tools > system restore?"

Try doing a search for the file that want go away. Use search results to delete .exe or dll files. Be sure you identify any desirables by date or "google". Do a disk clean up.
Good Luck

If you are running Windows XP or Vista, just do a system restore back to a date that you are sure you didn't have this malware on your computer.

Its actually spyware. My wife loaded it on our computer. I installed this software and run it periodically and it got rid of the problem. Todd

Thanks for the replies but so far nothing is working. This virus won't let anything run. It seems to block all access to everything. I can load the two programs mentioned but I can't make them run. Same with the restore program.

We need to have a global death penalty for these scumbags who do this stuff.

I'm glad we have two computers, but unfortunately everything is on the infected one and I don't want to transfer data from one to the other for fear of transfering the virus.

BTW from what I can tell I got the virus from a site called "mostly safe for work" It is a joke type site with pictures, jokes, video etc and as the title says it is mostly PG rated.

Thanks again for the replies.

Did you try starting the computer in 'Safe Mode' and then trying to restore to an earlier restore point?

If you can get the computer to run in safe mode. The malware software will take care of the problem. This does not work or did not work with my wireless keyboard
