Can't help a lick with info?
But they were as beautifully made and finished as the Mark V's! And very nearly as expensive too, IIRC?

Mark XXll

I have one of the Italian clip models the only problem I ever had with it was the saftey, the thumb piece would slide back and forward but it would not fire the problem was gunk locking the ball in place. These are very nice rifles. Jeff

My Japanese clip fed was purchased new in 12-79. Serial # is N58xxx. I was able to pick through a few of these and ended up with one that has a light, blonde stock. These rifles have a unique single-shot selector switch. I'd like to see someone remanufacture this design. Mine is accurate and has a sweet trigger. Like most Weatherby's, this gun has had extended safe-queen duty, but it will shoot. Hard to believe that I've had that gun for going on 30 years.

I had both a tube-fed and magazine-fed rifle, very early (pre-production) serial numbers (very low twod-digits), that I acquired around 1974 or 1975. Great guns, very accurate, lots of fun. I suggest you call Weatherby with your serial number, they've always been very helpful.
