    Marlin 60 ???

I bought a 1987 model in very good condition two years ago for $105. It has a 22" barrel and 18 shot tube. I had previously bought a newer model also in very good condition, 19" barrel, 14 round tube, for $125. Both are blued with wood stock. If you really want to see current market values...

    New 617-6

The 617-6 is a great gun. I have one with the 4" barrel, and even I can shoot it well. It is my only .22 revolver, and the reason my Ruger Single Ten went to a new owner. I consider the 617-6 to be an "almost twin" to my 627 Pro, and love them both.

    Anybody know CZ rimfire rifles

Yes, I think those are OK prices. I paid $425 for a 457 American model last year. I have three other CZs, all 452 models, and they are indeed deserving of their reputation for quality, accuracy, and value. The Scout has a noticeably shorter length of pull than the Trainer or the Varmint (12" vs...

New to me Browning Buckmark 22lr carbine

I bought one with the sporter barrel five years ago. It is definitely unusual, and I've never seen another one at the range or know anyone else who has one. A bit pricey, but sometimes I give in to my impulse for "something different." It shoots better than my bone stock 10/22 carbine and T/C...

    I think I need a 617 10-shot. Anything bad I should watch out for?

Short answer, No. I bought my 617-6 with a 4" barrel five years ago. No problems with it at all. About a year or two later, I found out, on this site, that some of the barrels left the factory canted. I'd been shooting mine and never noticed it, but once I took a closer look, by Jove, mine was...

    Ruger vs. Browning 22’s

My Buck Mark UDX outshoots my old Ruger Standard model, which outshoots the Mark IV Target, which outshoots the Mark II 50th Anniversary model. So to me, the Buck Mark is more accurate. Since Huntsman22 monkey-wrenched the S&W Victory into the mix (nice gun by the way), I also have one of those...

    The Buckmark Slab Sides

You sold the gun because the Triple K magazines didn't work in it? I can see why you have seller's remorse. I'm sure you can find a good used Buck Mark. Maybe even one with an extra one or two Browning mags to go with it.

    The Buckmark Slab Sides

Might just need a bit of cleaning, or it might be the ammo you're using. My Buck Mark UDX, like the one in the middle of your photo, runs fine on CCI SV, CCI Mini-Mags, SK+, and SK Pistol Match. However, it sometimes fails to feed Federal AutoMatch, and the last time I had it out, the Norma Tac...

Ruger MKII Standard .22, 50th Anniversary (pics)....

I found one of the 50th Anniversary models in an out of state gun store several years ago, and not knowing too much about Ruger Mark pistols, assumed it was a special gun. Well, it is, by definition, due to the cosmetics and marked box, but otherwise just a regular Mark II. I've since learned a...

Rifle stock - wood vs. plastic

I also prefer wood stocks over synthetic, but I've made a few exceptions. If a rifle I want only comes with a synthetic stock, or if I happen to come across a used rifle I want that just happens to be in a synthetic stock, I'll buy it. The first synthetic stocked rifle I bought was a used...

    Any Ruger MKII fans

I've got to go against the grain here. Almost three years ago, I found a 50th Anniversary Mark II in the LGS, alongside a 1950 Ruger Standard model. Both came home to join a Mark IV Target model purchased a few months earlier. Unfortunately, my example of the Mark II does not match its...

My 617-6 has smooth chambers, but it is 5 years old.

    Questionable quality S&W

Now this is where a picture or two would be helpful, to show off that modern S&W manufacturing machine work.

    Have I finally come around??

$670 is only 3 hours of work for you? And you didn't buy it because you can't get accustomed to today's higher prices?

    S&W victory 22lr

I had problems with the ejector on my S&W Victory, and found the answer on this forum. See: http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-wesson-semi-auto-pistols/462336-sw22-victory-not-ejecting.html?highlight=victory+fte+jams – Post #30 It took me a few minutes to tweak the ejector tab, and Voila!, no...
