Hammer stud broke on my 442

Yeah, it just seems like a cop out. Here, a gun 6 years old busted and we'll sell you a new one for the price of almost retail. Good deal eh? I don't know. Maybe my thinking is all off. A lot of guys on arfcom saying I'm being jerky expecting too much. Maybe I am. And yeah maybe I...

Hammer stud broke on my 442

I wanted to make clear to them that although I'm not the original owner, I'm the son of the original owner. Do you really think that's an appropriate response to say, pffffft, you didn't buy it? Like I said in my other post, if it was Mom that had the gun and this happened and it was his name...

Hammer stud broke on my 442

AFAIK, the pins are aluminum. Which I believe to be not necessarily a good decision. And there have been others on here that have had similar issues with them. Also, AFAIK, they use steel pins on the M&P revolvers, mostly likely because they are .357's. But then if they are braking somewhat...

Hammer stud broke on my 442

Yeah, if they don't make it right, my next carry revolver is an LCR. I don't think I'll get rid of the 637 just yet. It shoots well.

Not happy at all. I may end up a Ruger guy after this..... Ugh. Don't really want to be. I like being here with all of you but this is irritating.

M642 w/Magna's and Vintage Tyler T Combo... Pics!

I need a bit more real estate and grippiness for an airweight. But I love the way it looks. On my Colt DS the T grip and stock grips works well but it's heavier.

    Pew Pew!!

I do believe the only .22 revolver I've ever shot was my Buddie's 63. I freaking loved it. I was nailing the smaller spinner targets at 25 yards double action. Not ever time though. But I was amazed I could hit it that far double action. I was using a rest too though. LOL. Still, those...

    Combat revolver

Only Combat I've done lately involves 4 legged creatures with beady little eyes and long tails that keep getting in my garage. Got 1 mouse and 1 chipmunk so far this year. My weapon of choice are these slabs of goo that you set down on the floor and they get trapped on it when they step on it...

    New Model 19 Classic Question

Yeah, My 19-2 has evidence of it. I don't shoot .357's in it and don't really plan to. It was my Step Dad's CHP gun and I know he did. And he didn't seem to care about the lower bullet weight thing. So.... I have no clue how many he put through it. I don't think the flame cutting will be a...

My 19-2 has the same ampersand as the OP's. I always forget the year it was made but I think it was 1966.

    New Model 19 Classic Question

I'm kind of curious about flame cutting but I don't know if anyone has had one long enough to make an informed decision on that.
