    Just bought my Shield in .40, won't give a second thought to trusting it. S&W has been my revolver manufacturer of choice for years and now that I have my first S&W automatic....well let's just say I trust and can't wait to verify!

    S&W model 48

    The only value the gun has is how much I value it. My eyesight is such that a wider higher visibility orange suits me better. I don't collect I shoot what I buy and I keep what I buy for the most part. But thanks for the advice.

    I am thinking of buying a S&W model 48 in .22 MRF that has a pinned front patridge front blade sight. I was wondering can a gunsmith replace the front sight with a more current style sight blade? Say one with an orange or white insert?
