    29-2 question

Ren-Wax...... Buy some, you'll love it. A less expensive alternative, which I now use after years of using Ren is good old fashioned Johnson Wax.

    Paint removal

I have removed fingernail polish from a 29-3 using acetone with no ill effects. Had fingernail polish in roll marks and front sight. Might steer clear of plastic insert in some front sights though.

Best value all around kitchen knife

This^^^^ I have a magnetic rack near stove with all sorts from Henckels, Wusthof, an old grain company freebie from the last century and an assortment of Victorinox. The Henckels are probably the worst value and the Victorinox far outshines them for the money.

    Got a nice email today

That is awesome! I'm also glad to see the e-mail pic shows them a bit lighter than how they look installed as I bought a pair of magnas this weekend that look the same in the first pic but I would have preferred darker like the pic you took. Now I feel better about what I will find in the mail...

What gun do you reach for the most?

I would dearly love to say one of my beloved S&Ws or 1911s. Perhaps even a classic PP/K but due to the high acid content in my skin none of them are really a go-to, Ill remove bluing and eventually pit stainless in the form of my grip. Secondarily I have a fear of employing one of them to save...

Renaissance Wax on daily carry revolvers

I use Johnson's Paste Wax on all my firearms as often as I feel like. For EDC probably reapply after monthly de-linting or sooner if I shoot it.

    Church CLOTHES carry

Experience and my old age has taught me one of many advantages one can have is your personality. For example I look and act nothing like someone one would think conceal carries. I have had very close people who find out through conversations with me that I go out "prepared" so to speak, tell me...

    Dad's old revolver.

Priceless to me would be my only answer. Dad never spoke of any customization as far as the hammer goes, he was a nut for keeping things the way they are as evidenced by his displeasure when I offered to refinish the stocks in High School. Rebuild his wedding ring when I was a Jeweler in older...

The Endless Parade of Black Plastic Guns

I have managed to keep it to only 2. An H&K VP-9 and a Glock 43. I would gladly trade them both on a functional but well worn old Smith & Wesson Revolver but my 13yo loves the H&K and the G43 is just downright handy. I had a run of really bad luck with S&W in 2013, I traded a Loaded Springfield...

    Dad's old revolver.

Dad gave me this little Mod 60 with box and tools when I turned 14. Sadly or fortunately depending on how you look at it, the same year my Grandfather gave me his 1911 circa 1914. I took to the 1911 like a cat to a saucer of milk and shot a whole ammo can of surplus .45 that came with it whilst...

    Dad's old revolver.

Thanks for the input! I remember one time on a family vacation he accidentally left this behind and we drove many hours back to the hotel room to get it. We were only minutes from home in the middle of the night before he realized it.
