    Model 19-3 square butt grips

I also have very small, thin finger hands. I'm only 5'5" and about 125 lbs, and my hands are smaller than many female hands. I find that the stock magna grips work best on most of my J and K frames. I put some Ahrends on my 586 and they feel perfect for me. On my 19-3 are smooth target grips...

New Beauty 24-3 (added pics and ?)

I've read about the Eagle Grips being made in India and not having great quality. Seems a lot of the complaints were with fit. You will really like the Ahrends. Excellent grips.

New to me s&w 65-3, first smith

The Model 65 is the stainless steel version of the Model 13. Production started in 1972 and was available with 3", 4", or 6" barrel. I think they are rated for both .38 +P and .357.

    Used vs New Smiths

I agree with what sodacan wrote about the Smith's, and can add that I appreciate the beautiful deep bluing of the earlier models. Not sure what changed in the process, but the newer bluing appears to be not as rich.

    Impossible S&W Decision

I just picked up a beautiful 586 from a guy who said he has 18 more Smith's in his safe. I gotta' say my little (current) collection 5 has me a bit envious.

Carry Case or Range Bag for my Smith's

Been a member of the NRA for a number of years. No duffel bag offered when I signed up. I failed to mention that some of my Smith's have pristine finishes that need protected, so I'm thinking that the gun rug suggestions in a cheaper bag is probably the best solution. I did find this nicely...

Carry Case or Range Bag for my Smith's

I wasn't sure if this would be the correct (or best) section for this topic, but I've been searching for the best case or bag for carrying my S&W's to the range or wherever. Seems most range bags are geared more towards semi-autos, but I've got all revolvers with barrels from 6" to 2" (L thru J...

    Renaissance gun wax

I also now use Ren Wax on my S&W's. There's a reason many of the world's top museums use it for their collections, including the National Firearm Museum.

    357 Model 586

Beautiful handgun and great photos! I have a 586-3 coming in tomorrow from a trade. Supposed to be in pristine condition. Got a new pair of Ahrend Retro grips in moradillo coming in also. Are the grips on yours the stained maple? Very nice!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I appreciate it. It is pretty impressive the wealth of knowledge and experience here. Les, I'm going to look into the PA Collector's Association. I'm not familiar with it.
