Sales would be my guess. The 4" & 6" revolver market is these days HAS to be tiny as heck, IMO. Awkward to carry concealed, not really geared towards handgun hunting & doesn't compare well to the 586/686 in those bbl lengths, IMO. On this one, I believe Smith hit it right on the mark for sales...

Maybe.......... I got my HB 10 for (I think) about $329 just a couple of years ago. Came with a leather duty holster, which I never use. I believe the pencil bbl is maybe better suited for first-time female shooters vs the HB. But the HB will win the accuracy battle though. Hope you enjoy...
