S&W M&P 9C holster
You can always get a holster built by a local manufacturer. I live in Michigan and I get my Kydex rigs made by Multiholsters in Canton. This one is for my M&P .40 with the CT Lasergrip and Lightguard.

9mm barrel in M&P 40 FS
Yes it does and it's far cheaper than buying a Wolf or Storm Lake barrel. I found one on Ebay for 90 bucks. Works just fine. You can find 17 round 9mm mags under $30 as well.
22 LR Windfall
I got 3000 rounds from a friend who's late father was a ROTC instructor.
He knows I shoot but he doesn't so I'm taking him to my local range to introduce him to the sport.
You might consider the M&P 40 FS and its best kept secret: You can buy a M&P FS 9mm barrel (and magazine) and shoot 9 at the practice range and run the 40 for SD / HD.
But that's not all! You buy a .357 Sig barrel and you can shoot that bad boy with your 40 S&W mag.
So, three guns in one...
I inherited my Dad's 9c with the thumb safety and it's fantastic. I use the 9c for SD classes and my Shield for concealed carry. You've convinced me to get the FS to complete the set!
Sigma Holsters
I've never been able to find a holster for my Sigma and the Streamlight M4 Tactical Illuminator :( It's snapped on when it's in my nightstand. Fumbling around for my pistol and my Maglight is asking too much of me at 4 a.m.
In the winter with an overcoat I use a Blackhawk...
Great Gun.
I've had my 40VE for 6 years and have put over 2000 rounds through it with not one failure to fire. It points dead-on and the trigger will smooth out in time without monkeying with the springs. I have nothing but good things to say about this gun. It is the unsung hero, the black...
I am truly overwhelmed!
Guys,
Thanks so much for all the feedback. :) This is an awesome website with awesome people and you guys have given me a lot to think about.
You're absolutely right about having my Dad make the decision as to what to carry. He got a bit indignant when I 'implied'...
Hello all,
My Dad's going to get his CCW (CPL here in Michigan) and he'll be 81 this month. He can take care of himself but mongrels, (4 and 2 legged) walk in packs. He wants a 9mm auto but I don't know if he has the hand dexterity anymore to manipulate a slide. I'd like him to go with a 38...
orly?
That would be outstanding! It will probably be modeled after their design for the Springfield Armory XD series:
LASER-KING/CrimsonTraceLaser
I've loved my 40VE from the word go. A grip mounted laser would only make me love it more.
