my 9c has come home

I had put a 9c on layaway a couple of weeks ago. As new in the box with everything. He also has a lot of 9c magazines so I picked up 3 more of those! May run back and get a couple more for the safe for future use. Bad news is it will be two weeks before I can shoot it unless I sneak off during the week. So that it happened here is the photo with the rest of the family.

I didn't like the detent on the safety as it would move on/off
too easily. I deepened the notch a touch and now I love it.

Very nice. I love my 9c and it has a better trigger than my Shield. I just wish they would make a pinky extender that extends as much in the palm as it does in the front where the pinky rests.

I inherited my Dad's 9c with the thumb safety and it's fantastic. I use the 9c for SD classes and my Shield for concealed carry. You've convinced me to get the FS to complete the set!

Regulator, you're right about the safety, is it an easy job to deepen the notch and is it necessary to remove the lever to do this? If you don't use a holster that covers the lever, mine will sweep off at some point, and I want it ON. Thank you

I'm missing the Shield in my collection of M&Ps. Sure would like to own one but just can't afford or justify a 3rd pistol & the M&P40 goes good at the range, the 40C is good for carrying concealed. I can also use the FS mags in the Compact.

It's pretty simple to change the detent on the manual safety. Pull the slide assy off the frame. remove the rear pin securing the
sear housing block assembly and the manual safety. The detent notch is obvious and deepen this with a very small gunsmith file.
Don't go overboard, you can always go a little deeper, but you can't put it back. My initial estimate was great. Right where I
wanted it. Put it back together and voila, you're in business. If you want a tutorial on the inner workings, or how to, regarding
assembly and disassembly of the M&P there are tutorials on you tube or check out the APEX tutorial that they have on their site.
The APEX's are geared to show installation of their M&P after market add-ons, but provide a great insight to the internals. Their
after market add-ons (of which I have several) are top notch. Always nice to know all you can about the inner workings of your
weapon.
