fobus here... my brother has the blackhawk and althought it does sit the gun "higher" up, it also sticks "out" more...up to you what you feel comfortable with. I love my fobus, the more i wear it, the more i love it, just wish i had longer jackets to cover it better ;)

when you say lightened the springs, did you find replacements or cut coils off?

i'd say regular 3dot. once you put the laser on, you'll never use the night sites again

I took apart my trigger and cleaned up / polished all the metal internals. This helped a smidge, but felt like the main part of the "grit" was coming from where the "S" piece was rubbing against the plastic S part. After polishing, when the springs were pressed and the S piece moved in there...

figured out where the 'grit' is coming from, took pics last night, but monday night football took over and haven't uploaded them. polished a few more parts, got a "little" better but still not perfect. just gotta take things slow so, because once it's gone, its gone!

well next time you take the slide off to clean it, pear around and see if you see anything different. i'd be anxious to see exactly what they do

just buy a quality name brand and you should be ok. I would assume defense ammo i believe has a little bit better QC testing than fmj's as they know people's lives will be relying on them. m&p is a quality pistol and I would trust more name brands.

have you taken it apart to see exactly what they worked?

did you do 1 at a time or both at same time? im curiuos if the trigger linkage parts are more of a help on the "smoothness" of the pull. maybe i'll just go home on my lunch and take a few pictures of what i am talking about as i don't know all the 'technical' names. where did you pick up...

has anyone been able to get rid of the "gritty" feeling in the trigger pull? I have polished the trigger internals with a little better feeling but nothing crazy. if you take the slide off and pull the trigger that is when I REALLY feel the grit (try it out). I'm not sure if it's the the...
