Saddened that my LGS/PAWN SHOP is going out of business. Difficult times for a LGS in a very poor rural area. I found my Walther P5 and S&W M64 at the store and it served as my FFL for gun transfers($20). I will miss stopping in to browse the gun cases. Oh well, now it will be a longer drive...

Won a very nice Model 10-7 on Gun Broker last week. Serial number is from 1982; right stock is stamped Jun 1982. This one has a 5 inch barrel. Is this barrel length somewhat uncommon? I rarely see a 5 inch in my shopping. Thanks.

Shield My accuracy is also improving. No groupings like the OP. But compared to earlier range sessions, today was good. Target was at 7 yards. I admit I was really frustrated with my 9MM shield a few months ago. But the more I shoot it the better it shoots!

Found a Model 64-5 For Sale online that is advertised as a Single action only. Did S&W make a SAO M64?; possibly a special order. The box for the M64 shows a product code 102504, with SN CCY86XX. Just curious and trying to learn. Your responses are appreciated. Thanks.

Appreciate the feedback. The mags were S&W made for CS45. I will pay close attention next time on thumb placement. Hoping the gun has decided it does not like S&B ammo. I will certainly change ammo if that turns out to the problem!

The CS45 was clean. I used only two mags, alternating them. Lockup happened with each mag. For the next range session I will use another brand of ammo, though S&B has served me well over the years. Thanks to all for the responses.

Fired the CS45 yesterday at local outdoor range. Used Seller & Bellot 230 grain ammo. Had a few instances where the slide locked back and did not feed the next round. Happened maybe five times in shooting six mags. Initially I thought the ammo was the problem but now I suspect something else...
