    Need parts for a 19-2

Have you cleaned the innards? My impression is that you have sluggish parts, not bad parts.

    617 Sq to Rnd When?

617 I believe it was within the dash 1 guns. I had a dash 1 RB gun purchased in the summer of 1998, so sometime before that. My LGS recently had a SB 617-1. One other difference between these RB/SB guns, is that the square butts came with wood combat grips, and the RBs came with rubber.

Brand New model 67 for sale

The seller is in a fantasy world, with that price. It's a current model. I still wouldn't pay that much for an early NIB no dash gun.

New Beretta Cheetah - update thread name to "Beretta discussion"

Cheetah 380s were always expensive compared to other offerings of that caliber. While lower price 380s have hit the market since those days, I don't see the price for the new one as excessive. I just want them to bring back the .22lr version. I shouldn't have sold my model 87 Cheetah.

I’m having bad luck! New smith problem

I'd say one good one out of three is pretty good these days. About the same as my experience with new ones. I won't gamble on another new one. The odds are too long. A catch-22 with the last one. I sent it in for a cosmetic issue. They addressed about 95% of the problem area, and added a new...

Model 17-9 sights, not enough adjustment

My opinion as well. The barrel is not square in the frame. The frame hole is slightly off.

Semi Custom Presentation Case Project Suggestions, Ideas, Help?

Colt percussion cases were actually English fitted. French fitting is where the case is recessed in the shape of the component to be stored there.

"You know you buy too much when the clerks know your name" Ha! I happen to resemble that remark!.

    WAR DECLARED in Israel

My best friend has lived there for 40 years. No doubt, his two sons will be called up. My friend was a captain when he served. That qualifies him to own a handgun, but he is too fearful that his young granddaughters could access it. Gun ownership is very restrictive there, for two reasons...

Missed out on another one like a dummy

I've had a somewhat similar experience. Walking into my lgs, when something caught my eye. Thing was, it also caught the eye of the guy that came in a minute before me. I was hanging back, waiting for him to put it back down on the counter, if only for a second. He never did, just said; "I'll...

19-3 Class B Factory Engraved with some KB Claro Walnut

And that's a part of the fun. Exploring the options.

19-3 Class B Factory Engraved with some KB Claro Walnut

I prefer the look of smooth grips on an engraved gun. I think the KBs would stand out more on a non-engraved gun. The theme of the grips seems to conflict a little with the engraving style.

    House Fire "Victim"

Option 1. Put some beat up grips on it and keep it as a conversation or display piece. Option 2. Give it a good burial.

NYS getting close to BGcheck for ammo purchases?

Between expensive ammo...add a background check fee into that shortly, and $25 or $25+ for the range fee, and the long ride for same, it gets pricey to do a little target practice here on our big sandbar...just as they want it to be.

Model 66 no dash condition and value

With the caveat that you can go wrong, if one has a forcing cone crack. That's about a 100-150 more than my high priced LGS would want.
