617 Sq to Rnd When?

When did the 617 change from square butt to round? Dash and approximate year please. Did the cylinder release button style change at the same time?

I believe it was within the dash 1 guns.
I had a dash 1 RB gun purchased in the summer of 1998, so sometime before that.
My LGS recently had a SB 617-1. One other difference between these RB/SB guns, is that the square butts came with wood combat grips, and the RBs came with rubber.

I have a 617-1 that was made in early 1996 and it has the round grip frame.
