    Colt Commander 1972 mfg...

Nice satin nickel commander Looks to be in excellent shape...the box too! So, how much did this one set you back I wonder....I bought one a few years ago with a little more finish wear, but still nice, for 600.00! I like commanders, I'm looking for a .38 Super one now...

    S&W revolvers in some movies

Something I always enjoy is noticing particular S&W (and some Colts too)revolvers in movies (we all know about Harry's of course)! Here are two to watch for in two of my favorite films: the first is an excellent film about a 70's motor cop in Arizona with Robert Blake...Electraglide in Blue; two...

    Model 57 41 Mag

Sweet 57...275.00 even several years ago was a darn good price! I got my 6in 57 10+ years ago for 300.00 and still feel I got a good deal. Is your interest in the Blazer ammo for practice? I'd get something like some good ole' 175 gr. Winchester Silvertips for a carry load.

    908

I wouldn't pay more than 400.00 for a 908 series pistol; I looked at a 915 several years ago and thought it was a bit rough in comparison to the 3900, 5900 series pistols. Not to say that I wouldn't have a 900 series pistol, but they are more barebones and don't command the price of the 3900...

5" Model 27-2, new to me, did I do well?

Wish I could run across a 5in 27 in the shape you describe for that price! I've not seen a 27 in any decent shape for less than 400.00; you would have still had a good deal in that price range. A quick remedy would be to put a nice set of oversize targets on it and the frame scratches you...

    28 Grips

I like the Bill Jordan style grip for a 4in N frame like the 28...if you can find one! Check out Hogue's website to see some aftermarket grips that are a bit thinner and longer than the service grip, but not as thick as the oversize target.

    Gun Show Buy .357 magnum

Nice 28! I love going to gun shows, never know what you'll come across...one of my saddest moments came at a gun show several years ago when a fellow was carrying around an apparent NIB model 58 that he wanted 300.00 for...all I had was 286.00 and a Glock 22 with me and he did not want to trade...

    1917 S&W value

I'm new to the forum but look forward to many discussions and enlightenment! I collect S&W's myself and enjoy the revolvers most, although I love the autos too. I am looking at a 1917 model w/serial number in the 38000 range...it is in good condition with about 80% bluing left, small amount of...
