    Pinned front sight

A friend of mine just bought a 19-3 with a pinned Boughman style front sight that sits on top of the ribs on the barrel. I'm thinking the barrel was either shortened or replaced. He says it was made in 1969. They didn't pin -3 sights, did they?

    What's up with the Pythons

I found two 4" BSS Pythons at a shop and had to real quick sell off my 8 3/8" Model 25 and a Walther PP, both in like new condition, plus $300 to buy the one Python that was luckily still left when I got back there. As I've seen the same gun selling for almost $1000 more, I figure I did pretty...

Did I really save her? A Born Again 29-3

"I had thought of posting before pics but I was afraid the mods would ban me for even posting such a monstrosity" Yeah, you're gonna have to post those 'cause I thought that these WERE the before pics...!

    Coach gun time...

Here's my 12 gauge Rossi Overland. It also has a steel buttstock plate. The first time I shot it was with 00 buckshot 3-inch Magnum shells. Yeah, I won't do that again.

    Any arguments for the 19-3

I prefer the 19 over the 27 as I feel the N frame is too big for the cartridge, but the 27 is definitely worth more than the 19, especially in the 5" barrel length. Buy the 27 and sell it. You could probably buy two 19s!

    .32 Double Action - DAO?

Well, I took the side plate off, removed the hammer and cleaned the hell out of everything, but still no SA. I think the hammer / rear sear engagement hooks may be too worn to hold. The cylinder locks up nice and tight now, though. The hammer stirrup pin has separated from the stirrup, which...

    .32 Double Action - DAO?

I just confirmed that my friend's gun is the same as mine; his hammer does not lock back into single action either and he had said virtually the same thing, that he thought something was broken, because it should work both ways. I also remember seeing an earlier version, with the inverse trigger...

    .32 Double Action - DAO?

I have a .32 Double Action Fourth Model that does not have a single action function, as in the hammer does not lock back when cocked. I have a friend with the same model that appears to be DAO also. I've seen several in gun shops the same way, but cannot recall seeing a single action version. So...

    .32 Double Action - DAO?

This may seem like a very basic question, but I can't seem to find out if the .32 DA Top breaks were double action / single action or just double action? I seem to remember handling one in SA at one time...

    Python - today's price - wow!

I had a nickel 4" 27-2 that was absolutely gorgeous but I just could not fall in love with it. I think that the N frame is just too big for a .357. To me, it's like a 9mm 1911. That's why I bought a 4" bright stainless Python. It's the perfect size for the round and has an amazing single action...

    Would you trade a 19-5 for a 66?

I traded my 4" P&R Nickeled 19-4 + $230 for a 2.5" P&R 66-1. I must have wanted that gun real bad! (I think it was because the dash-1 guns are so hard to find or maybe it was just temporary insanity?) I polished it up all shiny-like and put ivory on it, then replaced the sight with an...

Which 44 mag would you choose?

If you can afford to shoot .44 Magnum regularly, you can afford to buy both of them.
