Model 60 and the power of media exposure

Love mine, just haven't found how to carry it with my shorts yet...

    Vintage Holsters

Very cool. I just bought an older Don Hume for my '61 M10, I just felt she needed to meet someone her own age.

    .38 Special Self Defense Reloads

Paul5388, a huge THANK YOU for the link. I have a '61 M10, was iffy on +p. You sir, have made my night. I had purchased Hornady 125 gr XTP for standard pressure as it was the best non +p I could find locally, and then was gifted with a couple boxes of Nyclads this weekend from my dad.

    welp, here we go! (recommendations)

I went with a 4" circa 1988 Model 586 I grabbed for $400. I would have bought stainless, but it fell in my lap. I have since supplemented it with a Model 60 Pro 3". I intended the 586 for all-round woods carry, and home defense. I can't carry a handgun during hunting season if carrying another...

Vacation suggestions for Me and the Wife

Maine has gorgeous coastline, great seafood, and inland some nice lake fishing (Rangely, Sebago, Moosehead), some closer to shore than others. Fall is beautiful. We used to camp in August, miss the blackfly season. Some lakes stay cool so fishing doesn't stink. Easy to see bear and moose. Lots...

    Best western movie ever?

Jeremiah Johnson Original 3:10 to Yuma Pale Rider Loved the Man with No Name Trilogy and Josie Wales as well. Respect The Duke, but his acting leaves a little to be desired compared to others now that I am older. I'd still have a shot and a beer with him, mind you. He IS The Duke.

Used to a lot, nothing recently. Need to take it up again, this is a bit of inspiration. Well done!

Why did I buy a Governor?

Saw a bit on TV, the Taurus guys shoot clays with theirs. Could be fun if you don't know what else to do with it. I'm intrigued myself, but you hit it with the 'Answer to the question I didn't ask." I shot a friend's Judge, it was neat, and I don't even trust Tauri.

Pardon the misplaced modifier or whatever you call it. I'm on a Bruins high, not concentrating!

    Model 10

It is stamped inside the yoke, no dash, unless I am missing something. Took me a few to figure the screw thing out.

    Model 17 or 18?

I did misunderstand, thanks for clearing that up. I need to buy the book...

    Model 10

Picked up a Model 10 through the thoughtful passing of a friend's grandfather. If I read the info right, it's vintage 1957-61. I see traces of what I presume is cosmolene, and no powder residue, though the cylinder has a turn line. I wiped her down a little and posed her today. My wife, bless...

    1955 m&p identification help

OK, just scored one of these myself, 4 screw. Cherry, but no box. I don't think it's ever been fired, seems to have cosmolene-like residue in crevices, nooks, and crannies. Wife loved it and told menot to sell it to the third party it was destined for. SO...do you shoot it? I personally believe...

    Model 17 or 18?

OK, not to be too much of a noob, but what changed from 17 to 18? I have an 18 (borrowing dad's a friend found for him in '73-75).
